for some weird reason when playing res games i prefare the stop and shoot mechanic, idk it just creates more suspense.

They could just have the movement speed slow down when you shoot, that would make the game scary instead of feeling broken

Saw the trailer and it looks absolutely horrible. It's like they didn't listen the fans AT ALL and added more over the top action crap. Trailer is all about explosions, big set pieces and lots of zombies on the screen at the same time just like Resident Evil 5 was.

Hmm, I thought it looked pretty good. Then again, the only Resident Evil games I've played are 4 and 5, which are pretty much just action games, and RE fans care more about the horror aspect of the series.

I suppose this is bad news for a Resident Evil fan, but for me, if the game is anything liked 4 or 5, then I will thoroughly enjoy it, and apparently it has co-op, which I had a blast playing with my friends (one of my top 5 favorite co-op games).

Yeah, but RE4 had a lot of that bombastic stuff too. It was just much better balanced and they didn't have coop to ruin the main story. If this one is coop for the main story resulting in no scares at all, I'm done with Resident Evil. The series ended with RE4 if that is the case.

It seems like they are doing it like this

Leon has the survival horror aspect to the game

Where as Chris has the action aspect.

However, the game seems to lack horror, it really just feels like an action game rather than survival horror.

Honestly, Chris is killing the RE games as they are becoming more action oriented. The explosions, the neon lights, all ruin the horror aspect.

Leons stuff looks more horror ascosiated, but then that changed when I saw them blowing crap up, and the bus flip

Im not expecting this game to scare me, but it will probably be a good action game, but once again a bad Resident Evil game...

I actually taught Capcom got the idea when they announced revelations.... guess I was wrong :(

ZOMBIES!!!!! :O TONS of zombies on-screen. Looks pretty epic.

The music is terrible though, I hope that's not the actual game soundtrack.

I have no idea how they were able to keep this such a tight secret, and how much is apparently done judging by the trailer which shows ALOT of gameplay and locations.

Can't tell if co-op is in or not. Some parts look completely one-player focused, and others have a teammate that does the RE5 healing injections. I'm not to fond of co-op being in again, but we'll see.

This honestly was not a secret... the games details were leaked late last year, with the fact it would star Leon and Chris, however the setting of the game was wrong.

It was stated to be in Canada, when in truth the game is taking place in China and America.

Capcom however denied all the details of the game. Just google RE6 leak.

Maybe because your not 10 years old anymore? When people grow up they dont get scared as easily. If you show a 10 year old kid this they will get scared.

I just played SH2 recently and o my god was that an experience. It was the feeling of being alone and afraid. When horrow games such as fear, dead space, and resident evil go action movie mode and have tons of enemies who constantly jump out at you then theyve lost all scariness and are just slightly creepy or excite the player not scare them.

Hey, it looks better than RE5 did. Just cause there's action doesn't mean it can't be scary. Look at Dead Space.

Looks like the environment is pretty cool too. There was always gonna be action but let's hope it saves some of its scary factor. It was never a Silent Hill psychological kinda scary anyways.

I loved Resident Evil 4 back in the day and enjoyed Resident Evil 5 even though I had to do co-op to beat the final boss. Shiva was just too dumb.

Resident Evil 6 on the other hand, was so bad that I stopped playing after an hour in the game. That was before I even played any high-quality single-player games outside of Mass Effect, Portal, and Skyrim. I can't imagine playing RE6 now.

Chances are their next remake will be 5.
