Is by far the best baseball game out there , sound like a fanboy try it first .

MLB the show might not always look the best, but it clearly is the best in terms of what it offers and gameplay. I love the series and now that the graphics can easily surpass the competitions, it's a no brainer. This is another must have, can only play it on ps3, game.

I first bought 2k7 and it was horrible , I for some reason always end up buying 2 baseball games to see which one is good. During the baseball season I had a crappy 32 inch sony wega and it still looks good. Just about a month ago I went out and bought a sony bravia full 1080p and man I cant put this game down . the gameplay feels smoother , the graphics with facial expression . The show 08 will be the best baseball game out there again with all these new features . So Thanks to the people at sony for keep making this baseball franchise. Because other than the people that has a ps3 everybody else thinks the other title is better. all i can say is they wish it was anywhere close.

MLB 09: The Show is an amazing baseball game. I'm not even a big baseball fan. I actually think it is boring to watch sometimes. Other times it can be great but the time in between great plays can sometimes take a little too long for my interest. I will say this though, my brother bought this game and we played too games and it was the most amazing baseball experience I've ever had in a game. First game he got the early lead, as he had a couple games under his belt already and it took me a little bit to get a hang of the hitting. Eighth inning I had a hitting streak and went ahead by one. Next inning he got 4 runs and then retired my batters in the bottom of the 9th. Next game we both hit solo home runs in one of the first three innings and played awesome defense for the rest of the game. Then in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs, I forget who exactly it was or even team he was but I do remember what I told him, most likely forever. So, he is looking at his batting line-up and like I said he doesn't like who's up to bat so he looks at his subs and the only one I saw who I knew was a pretty good hitter was none other than pitcher, lol yes pitcher, Dontrell. Willis (might give a hint as to who my brother was playing as) so I tell him you know this is going to sound crazy because he is a pitcher but Dontrell Willis is a pretty good hitter. I told him I knew he had hit at least 10 home-runs which is impressive for a pitcher and I knew that he had hit at least one walk-off in his career. So he trusts me and puts him in and three pitches later he wins the game with a walk-off home run with Dontrell Willis. It was incredible. I hate loosing in games, especially against a live opponent. My brother and I have always been competitive with games and I felt the adrenaline before and after he hit that home run. It was like your favorite team just hit a walk-off home run in the World Series. We both went crazy at how bizarre, even though I had told him myself, that he really hit a walk-off home run with Willis. I never felt as pumped and engaged as I did while playing those two games with him with a baseball game. So a couple weeks later I went out and bought the game and couldn't be happier. Sorry for the long story, I just felt like sharing a great time I had with my brother while playing this game and why I think this game is awesome for anyone who likes baseball at all. The graphics are simply amazing. I'm sure most things about the game will improve with each installment. Cheers to any baseball fans! :)

Interesting interview, hopefully more developers take advantage of Blu Ray, and not just first party devs.

Actually forget about everything else, just imagine a baseball game with MLB09 level graphics using Sony Motion Controller. How awesome would that be. Day1 purchase:P

so many are wearing egg on their face and just blindly ignore developers like Rockstar, these dudes and others ALL touting how BR is great for games.
I wish my 360 had a BR drive, those who dont want a BR drive in their 360, are just sorry to say are blind and ignorant. BR does nothing but give the gamer a better video and games, its not a dark force as 360 single console owners think it is.
Just read their lame attempts to diss a BR drive...HDDVD first, netflix..lol

right now though, 99% of developers have zero interest in filling up more than 1 dvd worth of space. It really saddens me sometimes when i think of how much potential GTA4 would have had it not been limited by disc space....

it looks like they dropped "The Show" from the name because it just reads MLB 2010.

Anyway, I still think it's funny that Sony has a baseball game that graphically looks better than any game on 360.

In other words the 360 can't run games with really good textures at 1080p because of limitations.

Whereas Sony are focusing on trying to achieve the 'all games running in 1080p/60fps' goal and so far all their exclusive games run at a solid True 720p/30fps, True 720p/60fps, True 1080p/30fps & True 1080p/60fps

All exclusive PS3 games run with sold frame rates and solid resolutions whereas 360 exclusive such as HALO 3 suffer from resolution dips (640p) and frame rate problems and they're exclusives. MS just used this as a damage control to make it look like they always never forced their devs to achieve True 1080p or 720p games, and by the way the 360 upscales to 720p it doesn't even produce true 720p which is just sad.

MS are still a bunch of liars and hypocrites.

they did a great thing with the franchise, but i'm not a baseball guy, only if they were as ambitious with the NBA franchise instead of what they came out with, since it's exclusive they could make the most realistic game out there, i love NBA 2k, but with exclusivity they should be able to do more, but oh well, i guess basketball were where they couldn't deliver

After reading this interview, I may be compelled to buy their latest installment just to support them. Heck, I may even enjoy their game!
