Its not an open beta if it requires you to pre order the game first. Its closed to those who have already paid for the game. Open Beta means free for all.

Its free for all if you take in account that you can get a full refund if you are not happy with your product for whatever reason.

Closed beta is when testers are picked by the developers/publishers or some other system and the beta cannot be played by anyone else. Open Beta is when anyone can get hold of it and download and in this case anyone can purchase the beta and become a tester so it’s open. To say it’s a closed beta because you have to pay would mean any Xbox beta is closed because you have to pay for the service so the title is correct.

Regardless of that it’s a bit of a disappointment, its more rFactor 1.5 than 2 to me. The handling feels nice; the FF is very nice but no better than anything else out there at the moment. Graphically it’s not much of a step up from rFactor 1, just looks like rF1 with hi-res textures. It’s a beta yes but after so many years in development I expected much more. They will almost certainly add new graphical touches as the beta progresses but I think this game will age very fast when the likes of Project CARS and Assetto Corsa arrive possibly later this year. Even iRacing looks better in my opinion. So far it looks like ISI have misfired when they should have arrived with all cylinders firing.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit27d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing27d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9227d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
