Blizzard games are meant to be played on PC.
Diablo was on PS1 and didn't do that great.
I don't think Diablo 3 is going to do that well on consoles.

I heard Diablo 3 on PC is gonna be tied down a lot is this true? Like no mods (at least for awhile until someone figures out how to do it) and everything is based off of blizzards own DLC.

I have no idea if that is true just something I heard. Not surprised to hear its coming to consoles its been in demand for a long time.

this is a pc game, the port to console will only be good if they wait for next gen consoles, which very well may be what they do.

probably what took so long to release. I built a new gaming rig last year and have only been playing pc games for about a year Minus Civ 4. This and Starcraft 2 are one the main reasons why I jumped on the PC Ship. Glad Console owners will be able to experience this game because it looks awesome.

I wonder if Console's will be able to play along side PC gamers online with this? Would be interesting to say the least. Will be picking this up for PC though just because it seems like its tailored for keyboard and mouse. If I can load my PC character onto my Playstation network ID then I may purchase for both.

Now when is the damn release date blizzard we've waited long enough!!! LOL

We kinda already knew this, seeing as Blizzard was advertising for console people on their site like a year ago. And unfortunately, it still doesn't necessarily guarantee the console version will see the light of day.

you bitch and moan that we have a CHANCE at getting Dark Souls, and now you're here getting excited that a PC exclusive is being ported to console

You see the PC players lamenting at the fact that its going to be downgraded if they port it?

Well its the exact same case with your reasons for not wanting Dark Souls to be ported.

Except in our case theres a very high chance the game will in fact be downgraded or limited in some way, as oppose to if it had remained exclusive. There is no negatives to porting Dark souls. There are negatives to porting Diablo 3.

I for one am extremely pleased with this one. PC gaming is not for me regardless of performance and the superiority of PC over consoles in capability. D3 for me will be played on 360 with my friends running a party and loot dropping happily around me as I smash the minions of evil with my tricked out barbarian. Trust me folks D3 will do awesome on consoles. Especially those that don't feel like upgrading/buying a pc to play it.

I buy almost all games for my PS3, but Diablo has to be played on my PC...it just isn't right any other way, lol!

Now, if Blizzard were to release another "Lost Vikings"; that would be a whole other story!!

problem is console gamers wont play this for 10yrs etc they game for a month knock out achievements/trophies then they move on. im glad people can play it but its clearly an easy choice to get pc on this one. i still play diablo 2 and it hasnt died down much over 10yrs

This news is not new. Here is the video interview back from BlizzCon 2011 by Turkish gaming site Merlin'in Kazani. Lead "Console" Designer is on it.

Ive never played diablo before but aren't you supposed to select an enemy before you attack it like dota or wow? And aren't you supposed to be able to place down certain spells in an area you want?

I really don't know if this is true but how would that even work on a controller? Maybe move and wii but surly not a normal controller...

diablo 3 on pc will sell a lot...i doubt it will sell as much on consoles. However, i am pretty confident that yes, the pc version will be the better version and not just in graphics. The game is not a port. Its being rebuilt on consoles for their controllers and other stuff. However, the pc sku is the lead sku and its going to stay that way.

it belongs on pc for me anyways for the mouse ect, but console players have fun!

Lol at the people saying PC gaming is redundant and taking sales figures for that. Sales figures are for retail. Steam has reported more than 100% increase in sales every year for the past 7 years. Pc gaming is growing if anything, and growing fast.

i think it will be a next gen console game, but either way, i am hoping people on all platforms get to play it

blizzard games are near perfection, starcraft 2 is honestly, the best competitive game i have ever played, and i am a hardcore bf3, bf2, bf2142 player, i love those games, but they got nothing on SC2.

i hope for next gen consoles they do a starcraft 2 port as well, and world of warcraft could be great on console though, for many classes a bit tricky.

what next gen consoles need is NATIVE support for mouse and keyboard in every game (or almost, fighting games, sports and third person action not really needed)

give people choice, freedom, options!

thats the one thing i have always disliked about consoles is the restrictive nature.

no mods, forced peripherals and overpriced dlc

other than that, they are very convienient

i am of the mindset, that if you love games, you should not limit yourself to a paticular platform, unless it is money that is stopping you(and we all should be sypathetic to that plight in this economy) you really should try to have all the consoles and a decent gaming rig.

if anyone ever has questions about building a rig, or getting into one cheap and just adding a power supply and gpu, let me know, i build pc's for all my family and friends (and me of course:)

have built around, i don't know, 40 computers in the last 8 years.

Suck it PCfags no more exclusivity for you!
