Treyarch come up with new stuff in every one of their recent games and support them well. For expample their inclusion of zombies in W@W was revolutionary, then they moved to a cold war setting - away from WW2 - and then gave lots of imaginative zombies DLC on top of that. IW have kept to Modern Warfare and have added only a spec ops mode, which is fun but has little replay value, while keeping everything else the pretty much same.

Infinity Ward, however, have made a very similar game for the past 3 IW releases. The modern warfare's are very similar indeed. Sure, people will disagree with me, but compared to Treyarch, IW don't really go out of their comfort zone much.

As much as it pains me to say it.. I think Treyarch have shown that they are now the better developers of the CoD lot and if they move to a new setting or really revolutionise what we know as Black Ops in a sequel, they can safely be awarded that title.

Why call it Black Ops 2? Really, im pretty sure those dumb ass kids are gonna buy it anyway even if 50% of the maps would be EXACTLY the same

Treyarch games are usually very bad online.

First of all, I haven't essentially cared about Call of Duty for over four years now, but I'd love to see a Korea theme

Upgrades Blops made(generally speaking due to the blue prints being from MW2):
Removing stopping power
Revamping unlocks (Less of a grind)
Balancing explosives (some say too well)
nerfing the knife
Removed shotties from secondary
Removed most quick scoping
Nerfed a lot of killstreaks due to Stringer being widely used
Kill streaks do not add kills towards other kill streaks
Very few OP perks cept ghost
Akimbo weapons no longer out power primaries

Failures of Blops:
Slowed down game play
Black bird was WAAAAAAAY too good
Level design was a bit if-y but thats what you get when you take a group that makes large levels with varying degrees of area then tell them to make smaller levels that are more maze-like
edit: the checking your ammo after you pick up a new gun might not have been necessary tbh

The Xbox division has not listened to the customer since the 360 days. Ever since Kinect, Microsoft has been about selling us what they want and trying to tell us it’s what we want rather than actually selling us what we are asking for.

Microsoft does have a history of running things into the ground simply because they don't innovate or give products breathing space. I fully expect in the long term they will manage the same with Call of Duty and will kill it, just as they killed Halo and Forza and many other IP's over the years. This also extends to things like windows phones and such. They just were not competitive and did not listen to consumers.

Battlefield has beaten Call of Duty in players number not in sales maybe but in players

If they're going to do stuff like MW3 and BLOPS 7, at least make the campaign split-screen co-op. The way the maps are structured there's no reason not to, and it just adds value to a game that's short on it as it is.

Call of Duty can die only by killing itself. This can happen to any franchise and happened to Medal of Honor which ironically was created by the original team that made Call of Duty.
