As much as I like the franchise, I do not ever ever let myself become too attached to something I like. Not even the slightest. You approach every game as if it were new, then you review the game fair and square.

Do you think there actually is death threats....I mean if you think about this in another way it's a great way to make people feel sorry for you and then "support" your game.

They've tried everything to make people come around. Parallel Universe, Origin Story, Parallel Orign Story, Differen't Dante...using this as a sympathy card is quite genius if I may say so.

This whole thing is propaganda, to which the outcome will be the same! The fact is, there is NO one who can replace Dante (Original) he's an icon and essentially is Devil May Cry! One would think Capcom would realize the error of their ways and correct it! If the creator (Hideki Kamiya) himself shows dis taste for the game, then you know it's a disaster! The project shouldn't have been put into production in the first place, especially by an outside company! There are other IP's Capcom has that they should bring back (i.e. Rival Schools, Breath Of Fire, Power Stone, etc...) instead of ruining a legendary flagship title such as Devil May Cry! However getting back to these so called "death threats", it's apparent Capcom is using this as a gateway to bait gamers, who they haven't already brainwashed into thinking DMC is actually going to be a good game. It looks nothing like a Devil May Cry game and looks more like a Prototype clone!

There were no real death threats, it was a comic strip someone posted on the web about Dante going to NT offices and going wild after the emo-dante reveal.

It was a JOKE, not real, no one with an ounce of common sense would take that as a death threat.

ahh ill buy this game used for 25 bucks within a few months of the release just so they dont get a credit for a new buy just like i did for their other game they put out before talking alot of crap on the ps3 i think they need to change their whole name and start from there because its tarnished

Stop talking shit and stop talking about what others are saying online to hurt your feelings and start showing us more about the game you are convincing us we should buy because you claim it will be better than its predecessor.

NOTE: I do not condone death threat, but there is a difference between a death threat and simple hate comments made online like the example I gave at the start. They have never cared about the fans, releasing mass DLC, new versions of the games after a few months and canning stuff they like, now all of the sudden they care? If you are familiar with how PR works, then you shouldn't be surprised.

I'm excited for this new DMC. I don't care what you people say. "Emo" means "emotional". Dante cried in the first Devil May Cry, which everyone loved. He had NO emotion in the second Devil May Cry, which everyone hated.

I've seen all the new videos of this new DmC reboot and i've played all 4 Devil May Cry games and let me tell you. There is nothing new i've seen in the gameplay that will make me want to buy this game. Ninja Theory changed the look of Dante into this Emo looking homeless guy in some ragged looking trench coat with the head/face of Edward for Twilight. No death threats with me, but Capcom should've rebooted Strider or Final Fight and just let Devil May Cry Rest In Peace. Capcom is doing nothing but milking a dry Cow with DmC and now that they've seen everyone not interested, they're trying to release new gameplay videos of the game like every couple of weeks. Keiji Inafune really Fuked Capcom up by OUTSOURCING all the production to the West: Bionic Commando, Dark Void and now DmC. I am going to laugh my @$$ off when nobody buys this game when it releases.
