You know that one thing that you always wanted for Christmas but never got? Be it a certain Lego set, a He-Man action figure, or that Red Ryder carbine-action, two hundred shot Range Model air rifle with a compass and that thing which tells time built right in to the stock, everyone has something they've always wanted. We talked to the geniuses at Twisted Pixel and Certain Affinity to find out what their Christmas wish was.

Developers have started reporting they have been laid off from the company.
Twisted Pixel was one of my favorite developers before they got bought by Oculus and went VR only. That run of 'splosion Man, Comic Jumper, Gunstringer, and Lococycle was legendary.
This stinks but they knew who they were getting in bed with when they took the bag of cash.
bummer about Sanzaru. Sony should have acquired them after Sly 4 but I guess sales weren't that good for that and there was no real incentives to buy back then and the series ended on a cliffhanger. I love Sly4. something was amiss in their effort to introduce their own ideas on the IP but I still love it regardless. a 7.5/10 for me and I was excited for the sequel that never came!

Halo Infinite and Call of Duty co-developer Certain Affinity has been hit with a wave of layoffs, CEO Max Hoberman announced.
Unfortunate as Certain Affinity has been a great partner for many developers

EXODUS was one of the most interesting game reveals at The Game Awards 2023. It is the debut project of Archetype Entertainment, an Austin-based studio helmed by former BioWare legend James Ohlen (who worked on classics like the first Baldur's Gate games, Neverwinter Nights, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Dragon Age: Origins) and owned by Wizards of the Coast. Shortly after its foundation, the studio was joined by another ex BioWare veteran: writer Drew Karpyshyn, known mostly as the lead writer of the acclaimed first two Mass Effect games.
AAA RPG? How quaint. Call me when the fourth A makes its appearance. Otherwise, YAWN!
