Woah, I love that boxart. So damn cool

FACTUAL evidence5276d ago

I think this TM is going to be awful tbh....not hoping it's awful in any way, but the direction it seems to be going in is kind of a twisted metal 4 route.

Majority of the TM fans wants to see the dark presence of the black series return, with awesome character stories, but at the look of TM, I won't be surprised if the game isn't near AAA status. Hope it plays out good though.

Jio5276d ago

It's rated M and from what I hear it's pretty gruesome. Test scores from this game are really high, don't know how you see any resemblance to TM4 which was developed by a terrible team.

Kleptic5276d ago

Rated m? Since when? Jaffe originally said this would be t, and was to follow a more tm2 like tone. Did that change?

Jio5276d ago

@kleptic, that changed, it's already rated M by the ESRB.

Kleptic5276d ago

^oh nice, thanks...

Sweet Tooth was never a T kind of guy anyway, so this is good ha...

TheLastGuardian5276d ago

Ummm, WTF are you talking about? I've been a huge Twisted Metal fan since the first game and this new Twisted Metal looks like it could be my new favorite game of all time.

Sure it's not turning out exactly how I originally hoped but, that doesn't matter. I'm confident that Jaffe and his team will make the right decisions to make this the best TM game yet.

@Kleptic

How has Sweet Tooth never been a T kinda guy? Every game in the series besides Black has been rated T so far.

OT: I love the boxart but like Vickers said, I think the lettering should be chrome.

Yeah it looks pretty awesome, but if I had to make one criticism, it's that the lettering should be chrome like it's always been, instead of black lettering.

On David Jaffe's blog you can vote for the better back art for the box. I personally like the last pic ;)

I prefer A and C, can't really choose which though.

They all look

*Puts on sunglasses*

Pretty sweet

Max Power5276d ago

I choose Option C, I like the sassy stance.

metsgaming5276d ago

I love option C its so good.

PshycoNinja5276d ago

I like E cause its a sexy stance. And everyone knows sex sells ;).

SoapShoes5276d ago

I was going to say A since it matches the front better but then I saw that it had the same vehicles as the front cover so I'm going with C. Also because of the awesome Doll Face pose.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher326d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar327d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername327d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72327d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio327d ago (Edited 327d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125327d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori327d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro327d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx327d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga609d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon609d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga609d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole609d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer609d ago (Edited 609d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole609d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic608d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage609d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12609d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
