Microsoft did not release this. Community Manager of Remedy, SideTwo (AKA Peter Papadopoulos) released it.

Please get it right. I was reading his tweets when he asked if people wanted a teaser, and then he released one.

ALAN WAKE!! All I need to see now is a new Shadow Complex.

Bundi5200d ago

That guy is a voice over whore...in a good way

mixelon5200d ago

I would've sworn Alan Wake was voiced by North as well, but he wasn't! Just someone who sounds identical.

Look in the manual/imdb etc. It really messed with my head. I guess they might have switched to NN for the sequel though considering everyone thinks he did it anyway lol.

El_Barto5200d ago

Cannot wait, hopefully this is just the in between story for the true Alan Wake sequel.

The full sequel will probably come out on the next Xbox, but I bet Microsoft is gauging how successful this is going to be, my money would be on that if it is successful in the tiniest way, they will buy Remedy outright.

Microsoft seems to be in a creative mood lately, hiring more people at Rare, buying Twisted Pixel and opening 4 new studios this year alone.

I don't think they will risk losing out on what Remedy has to offer. Although it's in no danger of going anywhere since Microsoft has an exclusive contract for 3 full Alan Wake titles.

A Late Look: Alan Wake

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "All in all, it’s not hard to see why Alan Wake has received a bit of a cult following (there’s that famous foreshadowing again). It’s a title that blends themes and gameplay, while pushing the limits of storytelling by putting stories within stories and letting you read those stories before you get to that part in… the story. It has flaws, to be sure - the gameplay side can’t quite keep up with the rest of its ambitions - but overall it’s a great game that stands out among its peers and is undeniably… one for the books."

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

gigoran8689d ago

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

jznrpg101d ago

People sometimes call Wal-Mart Wally World including myself

Tacoboto688d ago

I just bought two of the MonsterVerse Godzilla movies on 4K - both had digital copies expiring in 2023. Both were actually expired.

I'd be surprised but it's WB, of course they'd actually expire them

Knightofelemia689d ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie689d ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

Profchaos689d ago

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie689d ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh688d ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.
