Being a Playstation fanboy that I am, I will admit that the ps3 was about the worst launch ever, but the 360 wasn't that far back, sure the 360 had cod, gears, and Halo, but none of those games are deal breakers if you ask me. But then look what happened. Motorstorm ends up being my favorite racer ever, Uncharted with the most awesome action platformer ever, Warhawk was sick, SSD HD, and now its got KZ3, inFamous, Resistance 3, MS Pacific Rift and Apocalypse, little big planet. Love me some playstation for sure.

The 3DS was bad, but then mario 3d was awesome, and I got mario kart 7 in plastic. BTW, it wouldn't surprise me if Mario Kart 7 ends up being a WiiU launch title.

I liked Genji, there are far worse launch titles out there.

Genji: Days of the Blade was actually a pretty fun game despite the jokes over the Giant Enemy Crab bosses in the game.

-Graphics were decent for a launch game.

-Combat is fluid.

-Story has some depth with all of the characters.

-Writing is good.

-It has an RPG leveling system for all of your weapons/abilities.
(You get them through XP and collecting these Stones.)

-Standard 8-10 campaign.

In my opinion it's a fun game worth trying out.

Though I must say this site has a grudge over Playstation for some reason.

I remember buying a ps2 and having nothing to play because all the launch titles were crap. The only one that looked remotely interesting was Orphen. I rented it, played it for about 20 minutes, then went back to playing my ps games until ONI came out.. and that wasn't any good either. Point being, the ps2's launch sucked and it was a while before anything worth playing came out.

I'm probably the only one who liked Sonic 2006.

Sega CD wasn't that bad. It was the only system to have an English version of Kojima's masterpiece ''Snatcher''

Yes PS3 did not really have much to offer in terms of quality launch titles..... but neither did 360 either...

Looking back I remember there were alot of sports games on the 360 on launch... so If you don't like sports .....

I still remember xbox fans gloating about Bejeweled on the xbox live service and other games ike perfect dark (which recieved INFLATED scores)

As I said PS3 offerd a crap lineup for launch titles but it offered much more variety in terms of genres (this essentially laid out the foundation for the PS3) This is why we hear that the xbox 360 is more of a shooter genre console

I guess blue stinger for dreamcast wasn't terrible? Or those OMG bad Jaguar and Panasonic 3DO games? People were falling through the floor and water was appearing from nowhere in gundam crossfire. Outside of wii sports the wii launch had some horrors as well. Genji being worse than any of these games is enough to make you ask "how long have these guys been gamers?" Night trap did suck and it may belong but come on. I personally think all 5 should be jaguar and 3do games. THEY WERE ALMOST ALL TERRIBLE if they were even playable. 3DO Zelda games ring a bell? 3DO secured use of link for three games and one of which was at launch. Nintendo dosen't even admit to this games EXISTENCE its so bad. How is it not on the list? I really should have these guys jobs. What does it take to be a game journalist these days? Interviewer- "How long have you been a gamer?" Applicant-" about 35 minutes. I stopped by the local arcade and played a few games to prepare for the interview." Interviewer-" Thats called initiative! You're hired! Start with a " Top five worst console launches of all time" article. You have 20 minutes..."

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
