I stopped watching at Capcom

I don't see anything wrong with the character design and art direction; simply because I think Capcom wanted to give Dante a younger boyish look to his character appearance.That being said, I believe Capcom wanted to give the players the sense of growth with in Dante's storyline. As one progresses further in the game, his appearance starts changing in a more rugged demon hunter/slayer look. That to me sound like logically way to show how a character grow in their world as such as Dante's. Perhaps this concept of progression which I've explained here could be use in DMC squeal.

The thing i notice is that, in this trailer the new Dante has the "amulet" on , so that could mean vigil might be in this rebooted DMC after all, since you need both halfs of the amulet for Sparda sword.

Look at 0:57 or 1:03 you can see it.

I thought that this entire shifting environment was nicely animated and enhanced the feeling of running out of time.
But even though this sequence was exciting, it did lack quite a lot of polish (which is very understandable) and it didn't show any creative/interesting platforming mechanics.

Sure, Dante is being heightened or pushed back and the ground might suddenly become a hole, but apart from running, jumping and using the scythe as a grapple, I didn't see anything that wouldn't be found in other games and all in all, this didn't look difficult at all. At least it seems you can die which wasn't possible in Enslaved.

I feel like there should have been way more effects when you'd see ground being shattered and buildings being moved. It didn't feel like anything was actually broken but rather placed elsewhere (0:35-0:40 is a good example of that). And you'd think that Dante would sometimes lose his balance or at least have a different running animation with an entire building rotating (0:50). Also, that broken glass looked quite awful!

But these aren't be complaints anyway. This is a one minute long footage of a game that isn't ready to be released and the level shown is probably set in the beginning of DmC which would explain its low difficulty.I just hope that Ninja Theory delivers when it comes to a compelling, satisfying and EVOLVING gameplay along with a polished game.

As for the graphics, art direction and ambiance, I can say that I'm pleased. The color tones are neat, the textures look good enough, objects and building are detailed...
Best thing was these random words appearing (Limbo speaking to Dante?) : DIE, FALL, DANTE and FUCK YOU made this sequence even more interesting.

I'm still wondering why Dante isn't simply crushed by walls if the entire world can be moved around. Surely that would be a simple way to get rid of him :/

Dude the frickn moving city friggn told Dante Fuck you haha XD Made me love this game now. If they put Vergil in it it will be awesome unless he looks like some greaser -_- idk. Game looks good now so lets hope they continue the good work ^_^

My only concern is how hard the game will be, Enslaved was very easy, even on the hardest mode (FYI I haven't played Heavenly Sword yet so I don't know if it's hard or easy). I really hope DmC will be challenging and difficult.

I can't believe my comment was marked as Trolling, sorry for having an opinion. Seriously, I think far too many people are concentrating on the character design and not enough on how good the game looks. Give it a chance before knocking it.

Im tired of the usual nostalgic hook.

Nothing here but odd looking animations of a crumbling city and platforming elements that feel out of place. Dante using an ethereal indiana jones style whip, is that all Ninja Theory could come up with, really? I am sorry but.....boring.

This game looks like you play as a dark haired justin bieber... lol....

Game looks good, but I really don't like this version of Dante. I honestly, prefer the drugged out edgy one over this guy. It's not so much the overall character design that sucked as it was the horrible haircut

Y'know, I'm trying really hard to like this game, I really am. But the voice acting is really...unappealing. It sounds so forced.

I like the whole moving world idea, and even how they did it in this, but it definitely doesn't look very chaotic as they were trying to be. Like for example, in the church at the end, I can totally see Dante just standing there and nothing happening. instead of the whole place being destroyed.

And everytime I see Dante, they seem to be changing him. He looks even dirtier now. I get how they are aiming for the bad boy look, but uncleanliness isn't 'badass' it's disgusting.

Bleh u.U.. i'm seriously starting to fear my disappointment in this game, i will no matter what get it though. it's somewhat a sad fact.

Anyone who accepts this is a complete idiot! The story in the original DMC franchise had yet to be completed yet these ass wipes scrapped everything for NO REASON and rebooted the franchise? does that even remotely make any sense to anyone?

That's like you accepting an MGS reboot after MGS2. This whole Crapcom and Ninja Theory thing makes no sense to me and for that reason I will NOT buy this game and will NOT support the shitty stunt they're trying to pull.

This looks good. Except for one thing. DMC is a combat heavy game. You can say that they showed combat before, they did, and it was slow (like DMC2 combat was). A quick review of Team Ninja games will show you they have never done anything DMC speed (Heavenly Sword was quick, but it wasn't DMC quick).

Combat was shown before, but this is a far away time from before and they didn't show it. Still on my likely to be crap list.

This game could have been so much better. I mean why would they do 30 fps instead of 60 fps for a hack n slash.

Bad animation. Nothing new in trailer.

I bet if they had never announced that the game was 30fps no one would've know the difference unless they have an eye for it. People don't know what they are talking about half the time because they are using certain tricks to make it seem like it's 60fps like some other games do and it looks great in my opinion.
