It's normal that some people will have issues with the update. The same thing happens to the PS3 as well. So it's normal if you have problems.

Yeah, it was a slow download (they must have been slammed hard)... I really like it.

Do you really thing that people having issues haven't visited the Xbox.com Status page that their Xbox tells them too (when it can't connect).

That page was literally still open from last night, but everything worked itself out now.

Also; To Complainers; please note not all the features have been implemented yet, there's a significant amount being added next week. (we don't even had the Media tab yet)

So all the premium themes we purchased are now pretty much worthless, with this gray area, that you can't change taking up half the screen. They should stop offering themes for purchase if they are going to render half of it non-viewable and give partial refunds for all the themes we have purchased. I would not have bought these if I couldn't see them.

Go to test connection, if that dosent work unplug router and try again. Worked for me.

How did this get approved, it didn't answer why, it just state that there was various problems.

d/l and installed at 1am this morning. Not a single issue so far, kinect works better and it gives you more ways to get where you want to go.

The new Xbox update is so BA! Its a Man Dime

As most know there was a service alert that stated people would be having issues getting onto LIVE during this update. As was what happened to the majority of people. Myself included.

Had to reset my Xbox a few times and do a couple of test internet connection but all worked out in the long run.

I am looking forward to the media area getting updated but wondering how much of that I will have access to? I got the Today news but am wanting back the other news channels they had before which I don't see on the list of coming soon. Today show really has crappy news reporting.

I am not sure why they don't drop the feature box down more into the grey area so that you can see the theme better? Also you would think they could have a reduced setting where you could minimize function to reduce size?

Hoping the next dashboard has an application that lets me drop and place windows into areas to my choosing. Commercially that would be difficult for them but they could leave a little non-controlled area for their small ad space as needed.

When I update my daughters Xbox and let her mess with it... then I will learn just how intuitive and easy to locate items really is. Kids let you know without the worry of them always wanting things the way it was.

Update Is FANTASTIC

If you are effected there are 2 things that have effected people, if its slow or not letting you back on Live

1. Servers were overloaded as to be expected, seems to have worked itself out.

2. TOS -go to xbox.com sign in & accept the terms of service

Blinx was terrible. I remember playing it and thinking wtf?

Someone really need to revive Blinx, or make a game like it, the idea of the time power is really good, they just need to improve it, and its way more interesting than in quantum break.
