"We haven't announced pricing for Wii U, but you can definitely expect that pricing is going to be different"

i don't know what that means, but he's making it not sound like the +/-€250 (max €299) console i was hoping for.

TheFirstClassic5159d ago

Well, the wii u will be more expensive than the wii, that's a guarantee, not sure why he kind of made it sound kind of like it's a positive thing. However, I guess that's just what Reggie does.

TruthbeTold5159d ago

I'm willing to pay a little more than I did for the Wii 6 years ago, but more than that? Nintendo... overprice this thing at your own peril. The 3DS was the last straw for me and day one Nintendo console purchases. I like my 3DS and all, but I got burned by the pricing shenanigans. Period. Not gonna happen again.

Khordchange5159d ago

It better be 350 or lower reggie, unless you are talking about the pricing being different from the 3DS.

The idea is very cool, will se how they will run with it. Im hoping for some wii sports 2

DeeZee5159d ago

Honestly, this thing needs to come in at $299 or Nintendo is going to have another up hill battle on their hands. The 3DS proves that Nintendo and high prices is a recipe for disaster.

If it was at around £200 it would sell like hot cakes!

Maybe they'll do something like a "One Laptop per Child" program.

I got scared before reading the entire headline

Miraak82 50d ago

Ya scary , seems more like a talent acquisition more then anything , nothing IP related

repsahj50d ago

Great news! It's good to hear that they want to maintain the quality of the games on the Switch 2.

TheColbertinator49d ago

Makes sense to pick up developers with previous Nintendo focused history.

Gamersunite88049d ago

Good. I think they'll help with Splatoon 4 and some Pokemon games.

GOOD!!! Should have never been granted.

Profchaos73d ago

This is really an example of why custom games mechanics shouldn't be allowed to be patented.

Nobody wins we had thirty years of mini game free loading screens because of Namco having a patent

RedDevils73d ago

I don't know how those idiots managed to approve the patent.

lukasmain73d ago

About time the industry starting ganging up on Nintendo for some of their shit
