Half-Life 3. Could it be?

Chandana Ekanayake (Twitter handle @Ekanaut) from www.uberent.com tweeted this "All I'm saying is I saw this at a local game developer event worn by a Valve employee."
Man, I hope they're not toying with us.

I dunno hey, that lookd like an iron-on. Valve make their shirts like they make their games: With quality.

saladthieves5264d ago

Valve has been quiet for some time now. I wonder when we'll ever see an Half Life 3, although with the way things ended in Episode 2, I feel like they need to make ends meet in Episode 3 rather than a brand new HL 3.

Speaking of Half Life, I wonder how progress is coming along on the Black Mesa mod...

Skip_Bayless5263d ago

Well it's about time. They need to stop using these upgraded versions of the source engine. It has been long outdated.

HenryFord5263d ago

I'm betting my horses that they are currently developing a new branch of their source engine and it will be the engine sporting HL3.

nveenio5263d ago

I'll see your horses and raise you a goat.

Seriously, though, we won't see HL3 until Source Engine 2 is ready.

FragMnTagM5263d ago

Maybe they are waiting on the next gen consoles to release HL3 along with the source engine 2.

Sounds like a smart idea, cause let's face it, the PS3 and XBOX both didn't look that great with the Orange box. My PC can make those games look a hell of a lot better than the XBOX or PS3 does.

Gawdl3y5263d ago

The Source Engine certainly isn't outdated. It's constantly been updated with new technology and features. The update that came with Portal 2 was true dynamic lighting and other fun stuff.

arjman5263d ago

It still doesn't compete with the big hitters such as Cryengine and Frostbite, Valve should go for a cutting edge source engine 2 while still allowing the user to cut back on graphics and tech to improve performance, give the powerful PC's a treat :D

I know you will Valve, I have faith in you <3

I will see it to believe it, I don't want to hold on to false hopes and I don't know if valve are capable of putting the letter 3 in their games cover

ATi_Elite5263d ago

the janitor seen in this picture wearing the Half Life 3 T-shirt was fired today by Valve.

This T-shirt was giving to him as a "Gag Prize" for finishing dead last in the Valve Corp inner office TF2 competition.

He was only allowed to wear said T-shirt at work on "even more casual than usual Fridays" but him wearing it out in public has cause Valve unnecessary expectations and questioning about The Half Life series while Valve concentrates on other projects!

Half Life 2 was so good that HL3 will never be made!

ScarT5263d ago

Haha. Stupid gaming Janitor. Fired from rockstar. Now Valve.

DesVader5264d ago

Agreed. Maybe its just another rumour. Its terrible to play with our emotion :)

Well said, Grant! We'll just have to do with CS:GO and Dota2 for now.

ringojelly5264d ago

lol

People need to let go and enjoy the other products Valve are putting out. Stop trolling yourselves by looking for clues =P

granthinds5264d ago

They're sort of like Blizzard that way.

ZeRoTHScar5264d ago

Until more reveals itself, I'm sticking to blowing up soldiers and pawning noobs on the Battlefield.

Valve responds to NY Attorney General lawsuit

Valve has responded to New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit against the firm, stating it does not believe that lootboxes in its Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2 games unlawfully encourage minors to gamble, adding it was "disappointed" to see the action go ahead despite efforts to "educate" the NYAG about virtual items since "early 2023."
