lol.that's bad. btw i'm waiting for dice to either remove the tactical light or adjust it depending upon sunlight. i get blinded in open locations of caspian border.-_- and i never feel like using it.

i think for its magnification that it sways too much and this is a nerf if anything and not a balancing of its use because it still took skill holding breath and firing in bursts. also it had weakness compared to holo when used to strafe corners for target acquisition.

this kinda sucks that their changing the mechanics of the game so much; i stopped playing when skyrim came out but i am rank 45 but have been enjoying the coop more than the competitive on bf3 so i dont know the real ramifications of the irnv change mechanically.

DAMN, i have never used the attachment before, however seeing this "fix" seems to make it completely useless. Whats the point? How did they think this was a good balance? You cant see people 5 feet in front of you lol.

That was the scope on all my guns. Now that scope is in the garbage. Dice fix it back. Dice needs to nerf the flashlight. Flashlight still is a shield.

Part of the problem is that DICE appears to be attempting to appease fans by addressing every single complaint about balance and "over/under powered" weapons. While this is actually a refreshing and somewhat welcome attitude, as it's good to see a developer really listening to community feedback and trying to create the best experience possible for thier users. BUT... what DICE is forgetting is that today online gamers who aren't competitive with a certain weapon, tactic, perk, or item, flame all over the internet complaining about it's "balance" and power, when the truth is the item in question may not be out of balance with the game, but maybe difficult to master but highly effective when used correctly and with skill (enter the IRNV scope). The portion of the online community that is able to master these types of items and have success with them in online matches, yeild complaints from being "too effective" with said weapon or item (most likely why the BF3 online community seems split between those who say nerf the IRNV and those who say leave it alone)

I don't care about the IRNV as I never use it, but I agree with FunkMcnasty wholeheartedly.

See heres my problem people complain and complain devs have them nerfed to appease them next thing there broken as the ps3 version proves and im sure this will soon follow to my pc version.

Real life comparsion above shows they work as they do in the game. What they have done is hand the advange to the snipers now imo. What if you don't want to be a sniper surely it was balanced as it was. I don't know to many kiddys complain now days can't handle being pulled outta there camp spots kills me how they get round this crap all the time.

All ready ESL and Clanbase have banned the use of IRNV tac light and Lazers in clan play thats just bullcrap people say the Tac light is brighter than the sun. have a look at a real Tac light before making your noise people. Also have a lazer pointed in your eyes ffs.

next thing theywill want the Sun the grass and the dust and Trees Blowing around Nerfed aswell hell lets just make th game COD2 why not. People bore me.

There was nothing wrong with the IRNV i never used it it becuase it was rubbish IMO.

If anyone is bothered by campers in battlefield games they should stop playing now with the IRNV nerfed. It was great for spotting campers who dont go for objectives. Now they are free to work on their K/D ratio showing their awesome "skills".

As with other games, developers will patch and re-patch until the game no longer resembles what made it great in the first place. Thankfully new games are released consistently to replace the patched-to-death mess of your once favorite game.

Agree with caperjim on the patch to death-issue. I liked the irnv but I can live without it (its worthless now), what worries me more is DICE catering to every whim of the "community" until everybody runs around with the same gun and its all just arcade.

they have gone a bit too far now on nerfing it. this is a good chance to show it was not a crutch and you got skill. dice needs to also look at stats during this nerf period and see what k/d people are getting without irv on compared to when they did before the nerf and it will show how it was op.

What's the point of a beta if they are gonna mess with it post release? Things like Mortar reload lengthened means now your more likely to play tit for tat with other mortars. They should have left it and lengthened the distance you can fire as people on higher ground maps have an immediate advantage anyway!

As for the IRNV scope why didn't you just get rid for all the use it is now. I used it on a machine gun as support class and it was essential for keeping pesky snipers at bay. Already seeing lower scores and rush games resulting in no winners over and over again! If the aim is to rely on sound it's a great game if you can play with your eyes closed! Such a shame as after the bug fixes pre patch it was a very slick and beginner friendly game!

Definitely agree with the title. If they make Bad Company 3 then that would definitely be a step in the right direction!

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable

I mean thats all we've wanted since BF4 but they keep doing everything we don't want.
