Here's a crazy idea: What if Rockstar and Take-Two decide to take the exclusive route with Grand Theft Auto V, positioning the guaranteed blockbuster as a launch title for one, and only one, of the next-generation consoles?

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
No. It wouldnt sell. Look at GTA Chinatown Wars on DS. The Best GTA since Sand Andreas and a classic hit with stellar gameplay. High scores and a crap load of media praise. Didn't sell cause the system was marketed to casual gamers and kids. Which is sad. I got it day one and it's still one of the best games, DS, GTA or otherwise. around.
No point pondering over something that is out of the question. Third parties cannot afford to just on one console any more. Nintendo would not only have to subsidise the estimated loss made by selling to one console and possibly a little extra. It would make the system more desirable like most exclusives but would this happen. Of course not. With estimated sales being around 25 million Nintendo would have to subsidise a lot
this won't happen because T2 would lose too much profit.
I wouldn't buy it, playing a GTA game on a Nintendo console would feel weird, think I would stick to the PS3. It was like Tomb Raider when that went MP, couldn't play it on the 360, it just didn't feel right.
I think theres more chance of hell freezing over. there hasn't been a single GTA game on a Nintendo console so it would make no sense making GTA one of the most violent games around all of a sudden exclusive to a company that loves there cute kiddy mascots.
Rockstar couldn't even be bothered porting the GTA triolgy on the gamecube. i doubt they will start now.
