IGN: It happened. It finally happened. After months of near-begging, Valve has seen fit to let IGN into the Dota 2 beta. If you're unfamiliar with DotA, it originated as a mod for Warcraft III. It pits two teams of five players against each other, with each player controlling a single powerful hero unit. The goal is to push into your enemy's base and destroy their central structure, but to do that you need to take down a series of turrets that guard the three roads (or lanes) into the base. Players level up and grow stronger by killing "creeps," and can customize how they play by buying gear with money earned within each game.

A total of 21 categories have been named, with the ceremony set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 19th, 2025.
Boris Bulj writes: At Hamburg’s Barclays Arena, eight of the top teams went head-to-head for the coveted trophy and a slice of the $2.6 million prize pool. The Grand Final at The International 2025, the crowd went wild as Team Falcons took the Aegis after a nail-biting showdown with Xtreme Gaming. Every fight had us on the edge of our seats—it’s a finale Dota 2 fans won’t forget anytime soon.
