Say what you will about the Street Fighters and Mortal Kombats of the gaming world, but for some folks Rare's Killer Instinct series of brawlers from the Nintendo 64 era trump any honorable Japanese martial artist or four-armed Shokan prince. The Killer cast was known for being quite unusual compared to the rosters of other fighting games.

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.

Mojang has partnered with Merlin Entertainments to build the world's first Minecraft theme park in the UK.

A three-episode live-action adaptation of the first two Yakuza video games will debut Tuesday, March 17 exclusively IGN. Each episode is about an hour long and will stream on IGN.com and IGN’s YouTube channel.
Killer Instinct did have a truly innovative lineup of characters. I give Rare a lot of credit for not doing any " color pallate swaps" like other fighting games producers do. Looking at you Midway, Subzero, Scorpion, Reptile, Ermac, Noob Saibot, etc...And even Capcom to some extent.
The KI series brought a lot of firsts to the fighting genre. The Autocombo system ultracombo multi-hit finishing moves, and overall a very unique fighting engine. Especially the charge moves in mid combo, where you had to charge from forward to back. The combo breakers were also a truly innovative idea.
Killer Instinct is truly a legend to hardcore fighting enthusists such as myself. I am still waiting patiently for a sequel.
Fulgore was my favorite character. The combos you could do with multiple eye lasers were truly humiliating to opponents which is why I chose him as my avatar.
KI was possibly the only reason i regret not buying an N64.
Killer Instinct Rocks.
Jago and Glacius were my favorite.
I'd always do a c-c-c-c-c-c-c-combo Breaker !
I used TJ Combo and the wolf... and sometimes jago.. They really need to remake this some how without fu(kin it up!!!
Killer Instinct wasn't like any fighting game I have ever played!
I loved it then and I still do today!
I play the emulated Arcade game on the pc all the time! ULTRA COMBO!!!!!!!!
I hope we can get the emulators working on the ps3....I will be playing on there too!
