The reason why the remake doesn't have AA is because of the real-time switching feature that allows the player to switch from the original textures to the remake with the press of a button. Adding AA in real time is probably not possible.

The original Halo probably didn't have Anti-Aliasing, as far as I know, and the philosophy the team had was that they didn't want to modify the original in any way other than overlaying new textures to the whole game with a separate graphics engine. Switching between the original and the remake in real time is not easy. Adding AA in real-time is not possible on the 360.

The only other option would be for them to add AA to the original so that the remake could also have AA. This would have gone against their philosophy, so they didn't do it. As far as I can see the game looks great. And yes, there are jaggies, but it's a 360, not a PC.

Looks great. But with Halo 3 and Halo Reach already out, I would of liked this to be remade on the next Halo. Would of had a much more impact.
