Halo will make its PS5 debut with a massively modernised remake of the original Xbox game, Combat Evolved.

it will be running on unreal engine 5, so it will look good. The question is will it run as good as it looks
I think they teased it a few months back when they announced Halo studios. It does look quite incredible graphically but as Hennessy says above, how it runs is gonna be a different story given UE5 track record.
it would probably be like the gears of war reloaded. Which was a remake of the remaster of the original.

It's being shown at the Halo World Championships which they had already announced a few weeks ago.
Better reboot than another re-touch (remake after an already remaster) .... but 343/Halo is incompetent now, so .... guess this is best they can do with help of Coalition

The original Xbox was my first console (actually 64 but barely played) and the first game was halo. Me and my brother use to play coop almost everyday.
We eventually traded in for a PS2 because of kingdom hearts lol
I played the first 2 Halo games. That's Bungie's Halo.. I do not know whether 343's Halo is as good as Bungie's.
Either ways Halo is one of Microsoft's big franchises. So many rumours so it's becoming more likely it'll come to PS5
Halo 3 is Bungie's game... so is Reach and ODST. 4, 5 & 6 (Infinite) are 343's. They aren't bad... just different. The original trilogy story ended and should have finished there. But MS wanted to 'Star Wars' this franchise and came up with new stories that sort of just sit there.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and Doom Guy had cheats where he could run 266 miles per hour. Yeah boi, Chief ain't got nothin' on GodMode.
Doom guy fought hordes of enemies at a time. Master Chief took down alien spacecraft single-handedly. Doom guy wins hands down.
I can't agree with their assessment. The measure of who would win comes with the magnitude of the "I am a bad MF!" feeling after victory, and Doomguy tromps MC in this regard, hands down.
In addition to that, Doomguy would clearly run in and chainsaw MC if he ever popped that shield up, with his unholy running speed -- or just wait him out and then resume the rocket barrage. It'd boil down to a close quarters battle eventually for MC, because he would be desperate for ammo, and Doomguy's ammo supply was near inexhaustable.

Anyways, This not a real fare comparison. Doomguy suppose to be a fictitious marine from our future just like Master Chief(*Master serve under the OMNI project under the UNSC Navy) Master Chief has specialized military training offered from multi branches of the human military and also had specialized body augmentation.
Doomguy is still only regular space marine no more upgraded than the marines see in the movies ALIENS that braved countless demon hordes from a neither dimension(HELL) He's no super soldier, just a hardened veteran with lots of battle experience. I see Doomguy like how I see John McClain in the DIE HARD series, just a average, very RUGGED, IRON WILLED bastard that just keep on fighting no matter how much he's beat down and blooded he just keep pulling through at the end.
Of coarse Master Cheif wins this. They should've put the doomguy up against the quake or quake2 marine instead. IMO.
Master Chief needs some pussy ass power armor and the genetic enhancements of being a spartan and he can barely fight off the covenant, needing the help of the elites just to do anything.
Doom guy is a marine who shot his way through the entire fucking army of hell and killed satan right in the face.
