Steam recently admitted that its forums suffered a security breach, but the problem runs much deeper unfortunately. Steam users' accounts have been compromised, as the entire database, including credit card data, was accessed. IndustryGamers just received the following letter from Valve's Gabe Newell:

Even Gabe Newell isn't immune to being flamed in MOBAs
Sorry, couldn't hear you while you're bowing your head on your knees and delisting non-adult games that your master deemed they didn't like.
Yes, I'm sure the billionaire white male owner of the company who can close anyone's account really feels threatened.
Next tell me how brave Elon Musk is because he had to deal with someone telling him the Nazi's were actually the bad guys.

Valve CEO Gabe Newell has been ordered to attend an in-person deposition regarding an antitrust lawsuit filed by Wolfire games.
Big deal. He has to give a deposition i. person wowie. He requested to it remotely because you CAN request this and this is common as F especially with heads from larger companies being involved. Next.
If he can announce Left 4 Dead 3 after going to court, that would make us all happy

Valve recently released its 25th anniversary documentary on Half-Life where Gabe Newell emphasized why delaying the game was important.
I am shocked Gabe is still with us. Absolutely expected a widowmaker heart attack to take him out years ago. He never took care of himself. Hope for the rest of us?
Well it's staying true to its name, bc it's taking half my life to see a proper sequel.
And yet even with multiple delays, nowadays there's no guarantee that a game will being functional.
WOW. This is not good. Sony knows their pain. Stupid hackers.
Every companies are not safe. I feel for those Steam members
FFS my bank just sent me a new credit card number because of the Sony hack.
gabe's mail was NOT very clear. First he says both forums and steam itself were hacked. Then he says just the forums. What the hell?
Oh crap. I have my info on there! >:[
