Devil May Cry 4 demo inbound

A demo of Devil May Cry 4 is due to hit the 360 before the end of the year in Japan.

According to Gamefront.de, the latest issue of Famitsu states that a demo of Capcom's highly anticipated action title is going to be hitting the Japanese Xbox Live Marketplace before the year is out.

Relcom6669d ago (Edited 6669d ago )

I wonder....If PS3 will get it as well.

Why the disagrees? WTF

Snukadaman6669d ago (Edited 6669d ago )

any positive word for either console gets shot down by both sides....you must be new here asking whats going on...welcome.

I have too agree with you on every point you make tom...theres more sony faithful then xbox on this website but we are more mature about critiques against our console of choice I would say.

tomfoolery6669d ago

If this was positive for the ps3, Relcom wouldn't have had NEAR as
many disagrees as he received.
Probably none.
I notice for a FACT,that 360 people don't gangbang on the disagree
button like the numerous Sony Defense Force Folk.
Just truth.
It's also a slap in the face to the Sony elite because they're already pissed to the core that the 360 is getting this game PERIOD.
Do I hear a "demo petition"in the works?

Dannagar6669d ago (Edited 6669d ago )

Hopefully that translates into an international demo as well. The game is due in February and therefore warrants a demo none the less.

Gamingshouldbefun6669d ago

who cares about DMC on xbox lol? the game sucks, dmc3 had some nice stuff but this one is just crap.

Dannagar6669d ago (Edited 6669d ago )

Of course, this comes from someone that Played Devil May Cry 4, right? So you opened this account a week ago.

Elginer6669d ago

because apparently you have a time machine and have already played it. Damn troll!

Dannagar6669d ago

Nope, I haven't played it but I don't place judgment on a game I haven't played as you have. Given Capcom's track record, it's sure to be a hit. If I were a gambling man, I'd say that Gamingshouldbefun and squallsan are the same person.

candystop6669d ago

No it's crap because it's coming to 360, will sell more on 360, and will look slightly better on 360 lol! The Sony fans are full of jealousy these days!

Everyone who has seen footage of the mess that is DMC4 can see for themselves why Sony didn't even bother keeping the game exclusive.

Capcom is using the very same crappy last gen-ish engine that Lost Planet used. Unless you are impressed with lots of screen blur you are going to be massively disappointed by the game.

It is sad to see such a formerly great series go down the drain. When the first DMC game released a demo for the PS2 years ago people just stood around in awe watching people play. Fast forward to the present and gamers are now stuck with a gimped to run on the 360 trainwreck of a game from Capcom.

If you really don't care about graphics, go buy God Hand for the PS2.

Listening to Capcom's recent public statements it is clear they know just how badly they F-ed up with their 'gimp down to 360 level' strategy. They are going to be spending the rest of this console generation trying to restore their credibility.

nice_cuppa6669d ago

lost planet is great and looks great as was dead rising.

are you still pissy because they aren't ps3 exclusive ?

grow up !

DMC2 ranked 2nd and also DmC ranked 3rd?
What a load of BS!

ABizzel1319d ago

IMO

6. DMC2 6/10
5. DMC4 7.5/10 (Hated Nero, repeat bosses, Dante was the saving grace but only about half the game)
4. DmC 7.5/10 (solid overall, some great ideas, meh story, dialog sucked, and the director almost killed DMC)
3. DMC1 8.5/10 (all around solid)
2. DMC5 9/10 (carried by Dante & Nero gameplay, I didn’t like V’s, Nero’s better but still not a fan)
1. DCM3 10/10 (chef’s kiss)

Vits319d ago

Well, it worked.

This nothingburger of a opinion article got a lot of views and comments.

Pyrofire95319d ago

WHAT!? who in their right mind would put 2 near the top (not at the bottom) unironically?
I think all of them are worth playing in their own right honestly, except 2 unless you REALLY want to experience the whole series.

FinalFantasyFanatic318d ago (Edited 318d ago )

I honestly don't know what the author was smoking, personally I'd rank DMC3 as no.1, maybe DMC5 as second, DMC1 as third, DMC4 as fourth, and DMC as fifth and DMC2 last. such a bizarre list, mybe the author just has strange taste.

DMC2 anywhere but last is crazy. Awful list overall.

BlaqMagiq1319d ago

"Devil May Cry 2 isn’t trash. It’s just misunderstood by a fanbase that doesn’t like change."

This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Flenter319d ago

For me: 3,1,5,4,2 and then .....Dmc

fsfsxii319d ago (Edited 319d ago )

Why is DmC last? Genuinely curious.

lellkay319d ago (Edited 319d ago )

Dmc is far superior to DMC2 come on

"almost 20-year-old series"

It's 24 years old.

Ranking the Devil May Cry Series

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "Upon finally finishing Devil May Cry 5 recently - after it spent several years on my “I’ll play that soon” list - I considered giving it a fittingly-named Late Look article. However, considering that this was indeed the final piece I was missing in the DMC puzzle, I decided to instead take this opportunity to take a look back at the entirety of this genre-defining series and rank the entries. What also made this a particularly tempting notion was that while most high-profile series have developed fairly evenly over time, with a few bumps on the road, the history of Devil May Cry has, at least in my eyes, been an absolute roller coaster, with everything from total disasters to action game gold."

VersusDMC681d ago

First to last for me...3,4,5,1,2.

VersusDMC681d ago

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Still a good game though.

Exvalos680d ago

What a weird name, it's essentially devil may cry, devil may cry lol

Cacabunga680d ago

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5

2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me

Friendlygamer681d ago

3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

monkey602681d ago (Edited 681d ago )

2.
Dmc.
4.
5.
1.
3.

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best

Yui_Suzumiya681d ago

1 and DmC. The rest are unimportant.

DarXyde681d ago

Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...

5, 3, 1, 4, 2.

I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.

But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me

SeTTriP680d ago

This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.

Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.

Aaroncls7758d ago

Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.

Sephiroushin757d ago (Edited 757d ago )

DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.
