Solid Snake and Cyborg Ninja Figures Look Threatening, But Great

TGE:
Many gamers of the more hardcore stripe can find their collections of figurines, action figures, et cetera spiraling out of control. If you need to get rid of a few without being personally involved (and preferably while having no one learn of your tendency to hire inanimate objects to assassinate other inanimate objects), then you might consider adding Solid Snake and Cyborg Ninja to your collection.

Man they look brilliant, especially the Solid Snake one, it looks almost identical to one of Shinkawa's artworks of him from MGS if I remember correctly. $75 doesn't seem bad at all, I think I might try get this if I have money at the time and if I can find it in the EU.

tarbis5313d ago (Edited 5313d ago )

$75 directly converted from Yen. I think the price will be $58 - $60
The figurines are good. Hope I can get either one of them...

Konami Delists Some Metal Gear Games From Digital Stores Without Warning

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.

cloganart92d ago

I mean, it makes sense. With Vol.2 coming and all that

Commentby92d ago

Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.

jjb198192d ago

If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."

gigoran891d ago

Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"

Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"

computeSci91d ago (Edited 91d ago )

And? What is your point?

Same gamers: "How dare the retailers to delist (quit selling) a physical game that I own!!!!"

I think you just read the headline and don't know how dilisting works with Sony. It's common knowledge that:

"Players who already bought the games will still have them in their library and can download and play them as usual."

So again, what is your point?

Out of all Solids, MGS4 would be my top favorite game to be gotten remade. That opening scene with up-to-date graphics and physics? Oh hell yeah.

Preferrably with FOX Engine, but sadly Konami seem to have dumped it.

I really do believe that if this engine could have went with Kojima or someone else away from Konami, FOX Engine could have been great for licensing to others, too.

neutralgamer1992270d ago

It doesn't need to be remade. A simple reamstered could be sufficient and quicker. I hope they bring peace walker and MGS4 in 1 combo collection (peace walked would be the 1 that could benefit a lot from a remake though since it was a portable system game and hasn't aged as gracefully)

PapaBop270d ago

It was designed for the PS3 though, to the best of my admittedly limited knowledge, due to the PS3 architecture, porting games isn't straightforward. I imagine a remake would just make more sense assuming MGS 3 is a success.

Kaze88270d ago

@papabop it was already running on xbox, but because of the size of the game they chose not to release it on xbox. If Konami had that build stored somewhere it would be easier to port, but I would not bet that Konami has anything stored from MGS properly.

dveio270d ago

Heck, I don't even know what that engine was that had run MGS4 or where it's now.

But somewhere that code must have been gotten stored and locked.

I dunno if it's easily able to just getting remastered.

MGS4 is in a very difficult to work with cage I assume.

ravens52270d ago

MGS4 looked so fckn good when it came out. I was blown away. Definitely in my top 5 of all games. So upset I sold my copy and my ps3 smfh.

MADDOG85269d ago

Man i'd just be happy to have it on pc at 4k 60fps. One of my favorite Mgs movies i mean games.

Dark-soul270d ago

No need, better mgs1 remake or finish 5 till the end

Shane Kim270d ago

I would love remakes of MG1 and 2 and MGS1. MG1 and 2 would kind of be new games though.

Yui_Suzumiya269d ago

I was always hoping that Kojima would have done a modern remake of MG1 and 2 back when he was at Konami.

Deeeeznuuuts270d ago

Remember buying MGS4 when it came out, I was 13, I couldn't believe how good it looked, thought graphics couldn't get better than this 😅
Fingers crossed they remake it, I'm sure they will, they'll see the dollar signs.

ravens52270d ago

I was 20 and I felt the same way lol

gurp270d ago

I was 22 and felt the same
I got the collector's edition, and was amazed the entire game
I still have the collector's edition somwhere
one of my all time favourite games ever

Yui_Suzumiya269d ago

I was 25 and getting the PS3/MGS4 bundle was my reintroduction into gaming after being out for almost a decade. That particular model of PS3 was also the last to have PS2 backwards compatibility. Lots of fond memories with it. This is why the PS3 is still my favorite console and generation.

ravens52268d ago

Dang, u missed the original God of War when it first came out. I think I have top series, not even top 5 games. MGS and God Of War are definitely in my top 5. So many great life influencing games(im not a killer). FF10... dang I love video games.
