Remember those commercials that said, "Sega does what Nintendon't"? Well, it turned out to be true. Sega ended up almost shutting down, left the hardware market entirely and is now Nintendo's slave.
A similar thing happened recently, with Sony and Microsoft fanboys - these "newbie gamers" who have no concept of what makes quality game design - claiming that Nintendo had become too kiddy and have been trying to pigeonhole the Nintendo Wii as "the casual gamers' machine."
Well, that's crap.
The future is clear: Nintendo will win this Christmas in the short-term and this generation's console war in the long term. Save your money from that overpriced piece of junk, the Playstation 3. Don't waste your time with Halo. Get a Wii.
Here's why...

The Wii is now a retro console. Let’s get nostalgic about an often maligned system.
Crazy to think the WII is to the Switch 2, as the NES was to the WII back then. 20 Year difference.
My wife asks me to bust it out (heh) everyone once in a while to play bowling and tennis with the kids. There was a ton of slop on it but some good stuff as well.
Wii was great but boy howdy did it cause Microsoft to go on a dark walk with the Kinect and the disastrous XBox One launch that they arguably never recovered from.
Not nostalgic for me.. I was there.. anyone who wasnt a little kid realized it was a gamecube with shit tacked onto it, it was the "joke" system and was well below even the switch in terms of comparing it to the latest machines at the time. The machine was well loved by young people and "casual gamers" who now remember it 20 years on, or in most cases more of its sales came in the 15-20 years ago range not right at launch- but again its not nostalgic for people who were "gamers" then really, just for those who ended up with one in their house, the games , graphics, interface and online features were archaic already in 2006.

New report from Skillsearch found that 22% of those surveyed had been laid off within the past 12 months.

It's a step forward for Stop Killing Games.
I doubt that. I honestly do. They only companies I see winning is Microsoft or Sony. Even despite the negative PS3 news, I still have a gut feeling Sony will pull through. Of course, I could be wrong.
no i dont see wii winning this gen mebey this xmas
the only reason why Wii isn't selling 1 million monthly in the US alone is because Nintendo can't produce that many.
Still, I don't think that affects real gamers. Nintendo dropped out of the gaming market in my view and developed a neat gadget all casual people would like.
Either this guy is a complete moron or he works for Nintendo

...C0ck sucker..
nintendo will likely win xmas '07 and a bit beyond, but then will fade away as a fad.
the ds however will keep going great.
xmas'08 will be MS and sony battling it out.
