This may come as a shock but people do not buy the iPhone's for its games.

The iPhone or any of the Android phones are not aimed at casual gamers, core gamers or hardcore gamers. Games on these devices are merely a bonus addition like having radio on your alarm clock. Nobody will ever look at two phones and go, oh hey lets get an iPhone/Android cause it has better games.

It just won't happen no matter how many articles you write about it.

Yay more "gamers" whining about how bad an Iphone is as a gaming system even though they don't actually own one.

Yeah remind me again where the best versions of Square-Enix handheld games can currently be played...

O that's right on the Iphone. O and you "hardcore" only console gamers feel free to disagree like I know you will. Using your stereotypical tried insults like "it has no buttons dat = no games duh" or "the Iphone is actually popular dat makes anyone who buys it a sheep herp-a-derp-a"

"Yay more "gamers" whining about how bad an Iphone is as a gaming system even though they don't actually own one."

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android phone) and yes i do play games on it, currently playing "My Country".

However it is not a gaming system, it is a phone. It's primary use will always be to communicate with others, not play games.

It will no sooner replace a handheld as it would replace a clock.

Actually the primary use for most smart-phones is browsing the internet. You need to wake up it's not the early 90s phone's aren't only meant for communication any longer.

I have an Iphone 4 (4S doesn't seem improved enough to warrant an upgrade) and as a phone it's all around average it's clearly it's Ipod feature it's App store and web browser that make it exceptional.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle39d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

To be fair, there are also human made games that release and lack any fun at all either.

But all of the great games have been made by humans

One is by choice, the other is a feature.

Guild Wars 2 been playing for 14yrs, 1st beta. This is just one company I support, Arenanet and NCSoft, even though I torrent, there are a few PC companies I will buy from. "PlayStation’s Horizon MMO spin-off, Horizon Steel Frontiers." I feel this will be good, NCSoft is a good developer/publisher.

It’s a tool. Use it elevate things and get it done faster. I’m sorry but not every game made by humans is good. If this can help things, then I fully embrace it.
