This is because Dark Souls is EXACTLY like Demon’s Souls sans a hub world and the way the player obtains healing items. Don’t get me wrong however, this is in no way a bad thing. Dark Souls possesses all the great features that made Demon’s Souls amazing."

dark souls plays around with horror themes without being a straight "horror" game.
