Two of our finest staff writers here at Ready Up, Duncan Aird and Michael Slevin, both got their lucky mitts on a preview build of Battlefield 3. With only a few weeks left until it's release, what were their impressions of it?

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign
Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

Whether it comes through remakes or a new game with a similar style, DICE should aim to revive the glory days of Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2.
hmmm I think there will be no old BF glory days for EA since they are loyal to their greediness and laziness :D
You're asking for a miracle with EA that will never happen unless they can exploit the money making schemes behind it.

Actually a well written article...which is hard to come by...but i still hate previews in which the main problem that someone has with a particular game...is that they are abwsolutely terrible at it the first time they try it...
isn't that the point?...isn't that what anyone not wanting another CoD is looking for?...CoD...above any other competitive multiplayer games...is the only franchise i've ever come across where I can jump in having either never played the new one, or not played the current one in months...and start trashing everyone...its as easy as a shooter gets...
in the BF3 beta I had a negative kdr for the first 5 hours entirely...I knew I sucked...but I didn't hate the game because of it...I then focused on using my squad, reviving players, spotting enemies, etc...and out of no where actually started getting a lot better at killing them in the process...
I don't know...i guess I just like to feel like I sort of earned something in a competitive game...in CoD4, the first CoD I ever spent any real amount of time online with...I can't think of one single match in 300 hours where I didn't have a positive kdr...yet lost rounds all the time...thats a shooter where if you're under a 2:1...you're not very good...when you're team gets pummeled in BF3...you know it...and it forces you to change how you play, or you'll never get out of the hole...
yet even with a negative kdr, winning the round was all I cared about it...I love that about it...you can personally suck, but just a small amount of team work can quickly change a given rounds outcome...
Clearly the author is a dumbass..
Started out pretty harsh for no reason: "I couldn't jump in a jet and be a master pilot; therefore game is bad." (Author didn't say this, but pretty much expressed it.)
But it becomes more level-headed as the article goes on.
I'm glad the Co-Op is sounding really difficult, wanted some replay on them. Feeling like the campagn is gonna be fire and forget.
Now I know why EA is being picky with their reviews. This guy has absolutely no idea what he's doing, and is clearly biased. At least let the guy that actually plays BF give his two cents.
The writer admits to being a COD fanboy. Unfair review is unfair.
