Battlefield 4. It's bound to happen at some point, right? But DICE's Patrick Liu has become the first man at the studio to officially make mention of it, saying that the team will "see what happens in the future with any potential Battlefield 4".

EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands.
When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

DICE is quickly banning cheaters in the Battlefield 6 beta, with a developer confirming that they are aware of the hacks.
They need to add an option for crossplay with other console players only. Otherwise I’ll definitely deactivating crossplay altogether. These cheaters on PC are already ruining this game and it’s still a few months from general release.
Developers should find a way that if they detect your cheating in a game, have it so none of your shots register against other players, you can't kill anyone. Bascially, you would be useless in that game LOL.

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign
Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.
Its not a discussion at all. A Battlefield 4 is inevitable but just isn't on the table for DICE now.
I'm sure they're all focusing on BF3 and getting that right for now.
So what will people say when they focus on consoles, due to the crowd being much larger than PC and that Frostbite won't be v3 but stay v2.
They are going that route, inevitably.
A new game every other year, with expansions inbetween. So next year, BF3 expansion, following year, BF2143, BF2143 expansion, BF4(?).
That's my guess anyway, they dont want yearly "titles" but also wont want to gift anymore "free" years to COD.
Is it just me or has originality gone right out the window?
When there is a turn over of hardware, coming out with a new series is ok, no complaints from me. But when the hardware, especially graphics do not change, then making upgrades is ok. But making total new games is not? Make something original and in a different genre than just FPS.
Well if you think about it its going to be to years before we see the xbox 720 or PS4 and according to dice they want to do a two year development cycle for battlefield so BF4 will most likely be a next gen title.
