Examiner: It's a shame that Dark Souls is so hard to recommend to most gamers. Most won't have the patience to play such a depressing and difficult game, which is heart-breaking. Dark Souls is one of the most polished and intriguing games of this generation, and if you have even the slightest interest, you should check it out. I like the way the game makes you feel at home at the firelink shrine. Then out of the blue, the firekeeper's not there anymore,and ohh the bonfires gone out...

And then the hunt is on for Anor Londo...

This feels like the epitome of a 'tepid take'. Dark Souls has always worn its gothic horror influences on its sleeve, it isn't exactly subtle.

Horror is a bit much. Bloodborne is closer to horror.

dark souls plays around with horror themes without being a straight "horror" game.

bloodborn definitely starts out as that haha.
