not more people commented on this. I thought it was really interesting read as to the direction computing and processors are heading so I thought I would post it. Seems that if the story isn't flamebait worthy it is not worth talking about.
Anyway, on topic, I don't think quatum computers are going to be around anytime soon. The technology seems like it is hard to nail down into something usable, and will be really expensive for a longtime. Thats why the guy says that he doesn't think they will be used for desktop computing. But I think he is wrong, give it enough time and I think not only desktops but the playstaion 20 or the 23040 (360 in years to come) will have quantum processors.
