If you want to view sales and not have to deal with the crazies you can check out the worldwide sales posts. For some reason you don't find them there.

Biggest. That's because the crazies (PS fanboys) are much happier seeing those numbers since it gives them hope. False hope but hope nonetheless.

Even with a price cut, bluray drive and all these awesome exclusives i keep hearing about, the PS3 STILL can't pass the 360 in NA.

There is a worldwide sales article posted every month. As I said. . . The crazies usually stay away from those articles (which is probably why you know nothing about them). Unfortunately there has been a little chest thumping because of the Gears of War sales bump. Once that dies down it'll go back to normal.

I think the comment made by BitbyDeath pretty much answers your question here.

Its more about curiosity then being like Solar above who claims World Wide sales mean less then US sales.

And a "Console of choice" is the console one would choose to do the majority of their gaming for whatever reason that person chooses. Be it exclusives, price, friends, or brand loyalty.

Personally? I have all consoles, and love each one for specific reasons.

PS3 is my "Console of choice" for a few different reasons. First i enjoy there first party line up very much. Uncharted, God of War, Infamous, LBP, and so on have me hooked. Yet there are still ones i could care less about, IE Gran Turismo. Another reason is because online play is free. And yet another is many of my friends game on PS3.

I have the Wii for its exclusives, such as Zelda, Mario, and Metroid. But there are others that matter. Nintendo has been around from the beginning for me, so their games will always have a special place in my heart.

Microsoft i didnt jump on until this generation. I have honestly never cared for their franchises to much. Other than the less popular ones. I have played and beaten every Halo, and Gears (except 3 as i have yet to pick it up) and Fable. In my opinion Halo has dropped in quality since 1 (save for Reach, it was a MUCH needed improvement overall.) Fable has done the same thing, and looks to only be dropping further with the Fable Kinect game. Gears, is the one exception for me that so far has only gotten better since 1. But overall its still a very good system to have, and one worthy to have under your TV.

There is more i could say, but more or less read Solar's comment above (you will need to unhide it as it is blocked for trolling) and then read DrPractical's above, and you will see a considerable difference in tone, and just pure sense. I "care" about sales because its a point of interest for me, and i have a few points to make to some fanboy friends of mine. Plus, its a good conversation to bring up when it comes to certain conversations.

Okay, question. When you're driving down the highway, (assuming you're old enough to drive) and there's an accident on the shoulder, how much do you really care about what happened? Do you get out to ask questions, call the police or give a statement? Or do you just take a glance and keep on moving? Me personally, I take a glance and get on my way. I don't really care before or after the glance but I pay attention during the glance.

The same applies to most articles on this site. I skim through and take glances at most not really caring about much of what they have to say before or after I've finished reading through them. Just glancing and commenting as I pass by. You don't have to care about something to read or even comment on it.

So, I'll give you an ovation for the little bit of wit you were able to conjure up but I'll also encourage you to think a little bit before you speak as not to sound like a total douche.

Look at N4G as a long hallway filled with doors. Each door is a different article. You walk down the hallway popping your head in, listening to the topic for a bit, then leaving. So, if you're standing in a room of people who are all talking about sales, why would you have an issue with someone saying,"I don't care about sales"? You would probably tell them to leave and continue your discussion. Not paying them very much attention.

The PS3 had been outselling the 360 month after month after month worldwide for the longest time. You didn't see very many articles about it because it doesn't feel good to people like you, EarthLover.

You didnt see articles about that because there was no proof of it. All we had was fanboy speculation, and high hopes. The only thing we know for sure is that last time Sony and MS officially reported, PS3 was NOT outselling 360 world wide.

Yeah for 199 you can get a 360 with no hard drive or bluray player or free internet, and yet people would still rather buy it than pay 50$ for all the extras a ps3 comes with compared to that.

Passed and surpassed don't mean the same thing. Noticed I used both words in a different way.I meant that the 360 hasn't surpassed the PS3 in sales by a wide margin. The PS2 and PS1 were ahead of the competitions by several tens of millions. The 360 is ahead by only a few million at best.A drop in the bucket compared to Sony's pass systems.

Sony and Nintendo were were ahead of the competition from the beginning all the way to end of their respected gens. Microsoft is only now trying to get ahead at the end of this gen with new consoles coming out soon. I really don't see how that is so impressive at all.

Nintendo is about to switch gears with the Wii U next year and people are excited that the 360 is only now beating the Wii now that Nintendo is about to move on? Okay, whatever

Yes I did actually, it was certainly a lot better than Transformers unless you're more about action than anything else. Plus, judging by metacritic even the most critical people liked it.

I didn't watch Transformers, so I couldn't tell you... I did watch Drive and between the music and the scenes that dragged on the whole group of people I watched it with were making fun of it. Just too sappy of a movie for me. I expected more.

I, like many others, joined just to review this movie. I have to say I love movies. I love arthouse movies. This movie was not too wierd or "arts-y" for me. The reason for the low score is that it is genuinely awful. I would have given it a 0, but the opening scene is very good, and I liked one other scene. Apart from that, I see absolutely nothing redeeming about Drive. The protagonist is an antisocial personality-vacuum. The love interest and her son are cute but ornamental. The two mob villains are ham-fisted and cliched to a point beyond parody. The audience is given no reason to emotionally invest in the well-being of any characters. There is not a germ of realism in the tacky, tv-movie script. All of which could serve to reinforce the mythology, if that's what this movie is after, but the archetypes aren't strong enough, and the story arc not epic enough to sustain a myth. And, to top it all off, amid all the clumsy writing and un-reality of the script, the filmmakers practically beg to be taken seriously with overlong dramatic pauses and hyper-graphic depictions of violence. It is a superficial, nihilistic, cynical exercise in vanity that seems to want to be taken as deep. It's terrible.
