Why the Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer Might Not Suck

Nightmare Mode, in the grand tradition of video game blogs, tell you what to think about the recently confirmed Mass Effect 3 Multiplayer. Furthering that tradition, they also give you all the pertinent information in the title, but also expect you to go to the page itself to find out exactly why.

Additionally, the structure of the single player game is extrapolated from the shell of the multiplayer announcement. "Goodie!" they say.

im actually really excited by the possibilities of extra co-op missions, im sure they SP will be amazing anyway.

what i dont understand is why people keep complaining when they already said it was optional. Here is a nice quote from the interview:

"It is still possible to achieve the optimal, complete ending of the game in Mass Effect 3 through single-player alone."

--Onilink--5343d ago

also, related to the article, i think a simple way to include the conversation/decision making aspect would be to let everyone vote for an specific choice that would affect the rest of the mission, that way you can get organized with your friend and explore all the possible choices.

on that topic, i hope there is still some kind of decision making in the co-op missions

not excited for Mass Effect 3 MP, but I am very excited for ME3, the main game. :D

I bet this game is more action oriented than ME2. WOOHOOO

sigh...

--Onilink--5343d ago

well they already brought back most of the RPG elements they stripped on the jump from ME1 to ME2, so its not like i would want it to become more of an RPG, the current level of RPG/Shooter they have shown seems good enough for me.

I don't see where you're coming from..

Mass Effect had just as much action as Mass Effect 2, the only difference being that ME2's combat was more streamlined, and imo, better.

So.. yeah.. What are you guys are on about?

SovereignSnaKe5343d ago

~i think if EA gets to force Bioware to include co-op, then we should force Bioware bring back some of the RPG elements that we're lost after the first game. The co-op won't be a deal breaker, but i worry about the crowd it will attract...

--Onilink--5343d ago

they are already bringing back weapon/armor customization and a much robust Skill tree than ME2, what other RPG elements where in ME1 that really mathered??

listenkids5343d ago

Things that don't invole running and gunning?

--Onilink--5343d ago

@listenkids

Im sorry, i guess you must have played a diferent ME1 than me, yours probably was a turn based RPG with swords and magic...

ME1 was also a shooter, you just applied points to which gun you prefered to use, why do some people act like ME1 wasnt a shooter is beyond me

HaHa_Ostrich5343d ago (Edited 5343d ago )

Is there an offline/splitscreen option for coop?

Legion, Zaeed, and Jack are my favorites.

RiseNShine534d ago

To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

anast534d ago

They lost too much talent.

IAMRealHooman534d ago

some in andromeda are decent, I agree with peebee and Vetra being good companions. Except Liam he's trash tier

anast534d ago
