Indeed its got alot of potential for a sequel

maybe a non-linear structure a large area of the city to explore (not GTA large but say Arkham city large)

maybe you have a safehouse in a maintenance room in the upper tiers of the skyscrapers which you have to come back to to get your mission objective, a day/night cycle also, optional quests

maybe you can go down to the street level where goverment agents can spot you so you have blend in with the crowd 'assassins creed' style and complete objectives on the ground doing so

maybe incorporate stealth gameplay and takedowns into the game better?

DaReapa5351d ago (Edited 5351d ago )

Nice ideas you have there.

"If we were to release a new game, we’d know what to improve and how to reach a broader audience."
A little concerned about that statement. I'm just hoping they don't steer the game closer to becoming a full fledged FPS in their attempt at gaining a larger fanbase. Like gillri said, incorporating stealth elements would be nice, as the gameplay wouldn't have that "cat and mouse chase" feel to it.

chris m5351d ago

I actually wouldn't mind them removing the shooting elements, it felt wrong in the first game and was much more satisfying taking a gun carrying idiot down by hand or foot.
maybe give Faith some smoke/stun grenades and that would be far better than a gun

Yi-Long5351d ago

... and just focus on what it does best, the freerunning across gorgeous levels, by turning it into a 'racing' game... hopefully with levels/challenges/races all around the world.

MEsoJD5351d ago

This game doesn't need a story(was boring) and should just focus on awesome courses, multiplayer, and challenges. They should probably include a course editor as well.

KUV19775351d ago

I'd buy that for a dollar - or 60 even...

iamironman5351d ago

fairly interested. a non-linear structure would be nice like gillri says. i'd also like less combat, that's what let down the first one - too many peeps with guns.

KonaBro5351d ago

I literally just beat Mirror's Edge again last night and this game needs to have a sequel.

ECM0NEY5351d ago

agreed its an amazing game.

I actually have Faith's tattoo full size down my right arm

EA Cut Dead Space's Marketing Budget to Pour Into Mirror's Edge Due to Mock Review Scores

Former Visceral Games devs reveal Dead Space's marketing budget was cut in favor of Mirror's Edge because of mock review scores.

Knightofelemia525d ago (Edited 525d ago )

I wish EA would just release a DS2 remake. DS is my favorite horror game and DS2 is the best one in the franchise. But because DS1 failed to meet certain numbers EA scrapped the DS2 remake. SH2 remake was great rumors are Konami might be asking for another SH remake. The RE2 remake was great EA just needs to give it another try. But all they seem to do is shitty sports games that are no different from the year before. Change a few players, add different uniform colours, maybe change a team logo. Wash, rinse, repeat.

goken525d ago

Agreed. DS was great. But DS2 was even better. Would love to see a DS2 remake, though I would love to see a DS4 even more.
The problem with EA is they make easy $ from the slight changes to their sports titles like football FC games (whatever it’s called nowadays). People just lap that sh1t up.
Comparatively, games like DS which don’t sell 10s of millions, can’t sell them team player add ons and all the like, would seem a hassle to make and unappealing comparatively. Especially when you consider that most EA non sport titles haven’t actually performed well recently.

Dark Souls 2, Darksiders 2, Dead Space 2, Death Stranding 2, Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2

chicken_in_the_corn525d ago

The Dead space remake was so good. Better than the original. Shame they won't remake 2.

__y2jb525d ago

I loved the original dead space but the remake I just found boring. Game design has moved on and the game really showed its age, just small area encounters repeated again and again.

I bought Dead Space during launch window and I never bought a Mirror's Edge game .

Inverno524d ago

Then they went on to screw both games over.

UnbreakableAlex524d ago

I'd rather see a new and great Mirrors Edge than another boring Dead Space.

Bioshock still looks fantastic, one of my all time favorites.

Yui_Suzumiya1224d ago

Beyond: Two Souls on PS3 can compete with modern day graphics.

SonyStyled1224d ago (Edited 1224d ago )

Same as Killzone 2 and 3, uncharted 2 and 3, Infamous 2, Heavy Rain, Resistance 3

jasonismoney1224d ago

I wish this was entirely true, but you might want to load up Killzone 2 and Resistance 3 again.

SonyStyled1224d ago

@jason I watched some gameplay videos of KZ2 and R3 on my full screen. They are on par or succeed graphically to the first person shooters mentioned in the article that also launched on the seventh generation of consoles. Try the same and see what you think

cthulhucultist1224d ago

Killzone 3 was super impressive! I could not believe the graphics back then as I was regularly pausing the game to stand in awe looking at the surroundings! Resistance however did not impress me that much. Heavy rain is also another amazing graphically speaking game. It almost felt next gen

Fist4achin1224d ago

I always thought the first 3 Gears of War games looked great and still hold up for today.

SonyStyled1224d ago

They did for their day. I recently played gears judgement with on the 360 and the draw distance was so blurry. The characters up close look great though

JEECE1224d ago

Far Cry 2 was awesome. In addition to having demonstrably better physics and AI than later games in the series, it had a lot of design decisions that, criticized at the time, have since been praised in games like BOTW and Dark Souls.

iNcRiMiNaTi1224d ago

It might not be super amazing by today's standard but I thought Mgs3 looked really good

JEECE1224d ago

In terms of art style it still holds up.
