Ironhammers: There is a moment early in the first act of Dead Island that sums up most of this bizarre, almost zen-like zombie-hunting experience of a game. You are driving your character towards an ominously dark tunnel when a woman on the side of the road flags you down. If you get out of the car and go to speak with her, she exasperatedly explains that her car turned over and her husband is still stuck inside. You are then given the option to complete the quest displayed to you on a pen and paper your character conveniently remembered when leaving the house to go slaughter zombies and scavenge for supplies.

We might be in the age of remasters, but it doesn't look like the Dead Island 2 devs believe remaking the original game is the right move for the series.
but remakes require far less effort for these companies and they can still charge $70 for them!
Feel like everyone makes fun of Skyrim re-releasing like 18 times yet applaud these remasters elsewhere. Would much prefer NEW games
Making sequels really is the way to go. Otherwise we'll be stuck playing only the first entry, forever!!!
Josiah Motley of KnowTechie writes: "I love video game trailers. While I don’t believe they are an integral part of a game’s success (especially these days), there’s something about a well-produced trailer that really just reminds me why I like video games."
It’s the music. It’s perfect. I agree with this for sure, it is well choreographed….unfortunately the game didn’t live up to the trailer.
Have you ever seen any of the MGS 3 or MGS 4 trailers? Those blow this out of the water for me.

Kevin F. from Link Cable Gaming writes: "Many of the best Xbox 360 games are playable on the Xbox One and Series X|S consoles. Some even with some enhanced visuals and performance. Unfortunately, not every game from the Xbox 360 library has received this glorious feat of being able to be played on more modern Microsoft consoles."
The Spider-man games will never happen. The xbox 360 Marvel Ultimate Alliance games have a better chance of happening than Spider-man titles but won't happen. The Xbox One Ultimate Alliance games delisted years ago
Yeah... you can totally forget about those entries that got delisted because of licensing issues. Those are not happening.
IMHO, anyone reviewing this game below 7 just doesn't know how to have fun.
Want to complain about glitches? Fair enough, but developers with far deeper pockets & much more development experience have released games JUST as glitchy on day 1, & those went on to become GOTY.
Most games can be "faulted" for repetitiveness, but if the repeated action is a blast, what's the issue?
I had a ton of fun with this game, & I look forward to a sequel.
The review is well written, though, even though I disagree with the score.
ha!ha! game reviewers are so incredibly stupid.
Playing it on the 360 and I was expecting it to be a trainwreck of bugs. Haven't encountered any yet, and I'm surprised both by how good it looks and how much fun it is to play.
Reviewers gave Fallout 3 and New Vegas (which had a lot more bugs) a free pass while scolding Dead Island. I bet if Dead Island was published by Bethesda it would get straight 10's from most outlets.
It might be flawed but this is one of my favourite games (PC version) so far of 2011.
And since I haven't actually run into any game breaking bugs - and the modding community quickly made a few improvements to things like field of view - I would give Dead Island at least an 8.5 and probably a 9.
