The first patch was to fix the problems that mostly occurred because of the online elements, which is a bit hard to test for extensively ahead of tie. This second patch is to fix the problems caused by the first patch, which is again hard to test for and, if they were to wait to release it, would cause a bit of an outrage considering the first problems were quite extreme (freezing your game constantly) and the second could take a long time to discover, especially given a game of this size. It's hard to test all of these issues ahead of time, and each patch can't realistically have multiple playthroughs AND be speedy enough to avoid backlash.

My only point is that these developers don't seem to be releasing an unfinished game and then patching it, but are releasing a finished single player game and then patching the quirky online as quickly as possible, not realizing that the multiplayer would have such issues. It's far better than, say, Activision, which had the myriad of ridiculous game-breaking (and level-destroying) glitches for years after the release of CoD4 in all of their CoD multiplayer.

Horror simply means fear, shock, and disgust. I felt all of those things my first time seeing the Gaping Dragon.
