Dear Crytek you probably "forget" that there's so many mods for the pc version out there, that transform the game into a photorealistic fest. With new particle effects and high res textures.

The first Crysis was a very good looking game indeed, so if they've done a good job for consoles we will know soon enough

look.. what he s trying to say is that the game is more optimize than the pc version, even the crysis on pc is a benchmark, the game was not optimized that well.

Optomization goes a LONG way, which is why console games still look similar to PC games and not like PS2 to PS3, but I doubt the console
version will look better, especially considering mods.

Crytek are talking a lot of pr bull. I have lost some respect for Crytek over their promising things they can't possibly deliver. Crysis 2 on consoles was a disappointment technically and at this point I doubt they can have corrected it for Crysis...

so it means it is NOT the specifications like PC running in 9999x9999 (whatever) resolution and console is running in 1280x720 resolution.

what they're trying to say is Crytek is added a few things in the console version like new lighting, new special effects, and Nanosuit 2 controls.

I'm an avid console gamer, but I have to call bullshit on this. No way this looks better than the PC version, especially if you include the mods available for the PC version. This guy is a flat out liar. Not cool man.

Wait, that's a lie. Didn't someone post a comparison shot of a place shown in the trailer, to the PC version, and all the lighting was shit, and there were hundreds of trees missing and massive details missing in the rocks? Yeah, I know I saw that. It's no where near as good looking. Sure, the graphics might be on par, but the amount of detail in the world HAD to be taken out because it would have crashed the consoles. What a fail if Crytek actually said this. My guess is, EA said this, they'll say anything to get an extra buck.

WoW Crytek really went console...I bought Crysis on my PC just for benchmarking, didn't deserve a full playthrough, gameplay sucks they just know how to do eye candy.

I understand most people were not able to get the most out of the original Crysis when it came out.

I really have no respect for Crytek after C2 releasing without the DX11 capabilities. They obviously don't care about the people who made their company who they are today, high end PC gamers.

A 'solid 25-30' fps? That isn't great. Crysis 2 felt slow and clunky on PS3. Any hint of action it slowed to a croak.

If your the PC Gamer that has played crysis already then you shouldn;t bother to play it for console if you have the better version. Leave the console version for the people like me who only have consoles and shitty pc's.

I never thought that the ultimate PC company (at least in terms of horribly optimized meh FPS) would jump on console cock so hard. Well, I guess it's for the best because it forced them to make a game you don't need a super computer to run. Silver lining in everything I guess.

Crysis 1 back in the day ran like sh#t and the Original default (unoptimized) version, could be topped. Actually i'm pretty amazed by the fact it actually runs like this on consoles...Crytek did some serious optimizations to the original game to make the complete game run at a steady framerate and with the total gameplay/scale intact, let console gamers reserve their own opinions on the like/disliking this game. I personally cannot wait to play this on console without the hassle of tweaking modding & settings editing. People shouldn't be so fashionable bashing Crytek all the time...see through all the chaos of opinions and PR BS and u actually can see Crytek for what they really are:A real good development team that are part of the worlds most passionate & talented game creators, have some manners for a change, this negative whining isn't getting anything done. These guys are just proud of what they've achieved with Crysis 1 on console, you cannot blame em for it, we should applaud them for it, what happend to gamers nowadays? Played it on my PC ages ago, the graphics are nice (got over the nice gfx after 5 minutes),1 1/2 hour later I deleted it. THe gameplay sucks major ass

Crysis sucked...besides this article is untrue just by the title. It looks much better on the PC than Console. More detail for the PC version. No reason to downgrade any game for PC compared to it's console version.

These guys are 100% hype. Their time in the spot light ended when they released Crysis 2 and world realized how empty their claims really are.

I don't care about the graphical comparisons. All I care is how the developer treat it's consumer. Evidently PC gamers are the lowest priority.

All PC gamers good for are to show how pretty the game engine is during expos and make mods that will be copied/taken exclusively into consoles later. They even added Nanosuit 2 control for the console crowd. I would to use that in my Crysis 1. Unfortunately, Crytek stopped supporting that game after just 2 patches so I don't think I'll be seeing that anytime soon.

Oh will you PC elitists shut up. Honestly, not everything is in resoultion and framerate. Crysis on consoles looks better from what I have seen, and I have finished every Crysis game available.

It's not just about technical specs, it's about the artistic style. And Crysis on consoles has just that. Consoles may not be able to push grass and vegetation to fill up the entire map, but they can artistically make the whole map look better with better lighting and effects, which is exactly what they are doing. Uncharted 2 and KZ2/3 don't have high-res textures, neither do they have billions of polygons to push, but they look amazing because of the artistic style behind them.

I wish I could replay Crysis on consoles (my second PS3 died a while back) because it looks like it's a more polished game than it was on PC. And that's more important than meaningless technicalities that you forget about once you play the game.

Crysis looked MINDBLOWING in 2007 (at least the few frames I could render on my PC did), still looks good today, which is an amazing feat. But has definitely aged when you consider the wow factor it once had. Braid is a game from 2007 that's future proof bc the graphical style is so simple. Looked good then, looks as good now.
