Multiplayer Games Are Barbies For Men

"Video games are increasingly becoming Barbies for men. And I’m fine with that. You should be, too." - MP1st

MidnytRain5351d ago

I thought it was pretty accurate actually. We like to play "dress-up" more than we're willing to admit... for the sake of our masculinity.

There's a difference between customizing avatars/characters and playing dolls.

MidnytRain5351d ago

Only by so much. Little girls customize their avatars, too, but theirs are physical instead of virtual.

Hitman07695351d ago

lol hilarious but tru we hav 2 many clones time 4 sum creativity!!!!!

Criminal5351d ago (Edited 5351d ago )

@Hitman
I agree, gaming could use a bit more creativity. Last innovative game I played was Heavy Rain.

Dovahkiin5351d ago

42 days from now, you'll be playing another.

kcuthbertson5351d ago

Judging by your name and avatar, I'm assuming you mean Skryim.

And while Skyrim will be AMAZING...It's hardly innovative. It's 90% Oblivion with a new shiny coat.

Sidewinder-5351d ago (Edited 5351d ago )

Worst analogy I've ever heard? Yeah.

Action Man (The greatest hero of them all) was a Barbie for Man.

Grizzl35351d ago

How so? It actually makes complete sense. Or did you not read it...

mindedone5351d ago

Take any two random phrases, and I'll find you a loose connection between the two of them. Yes, this is a bad analogy.

Mister_V5351d ago (Edited 5351d ago )

Wow... no one's read this article.

Sidewinder-5351d ago (Edited 5351d ago )

Presumptuous. I read it.

An article that barks on about 'cutomisation' like it's the latest fashion. Or new for that matter.

And then coining it with a bad analogy. Good reading.
