
Jim Sterling writes: Battlefield 3 went into beta yesterday, and despite some controversy with people not getting their codes when promised, things have kicked off relatively smoothly. I got to spend time with the PC version of the game, and I've come away mostly impressed.
With Battlefield 3, my one major worry was that so much time had been spent on the graphics, the actual important stuff would feel lacking in energy. Having finally tested out the "Rush" mode presented in the demo, my fears have taken a dramatic downturn and my hopes have conversely boosted.

Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

Whether it comes through remakes or a new game with a similar style, DICE should aim to revive the glory days of Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2.
hmmm I think there will be no old BF glory days for EA since they are loyal to their greediness and laziness :D

I'm just not impressed. The PC version looks great but the whole no in game server crap is annoying.
I understand that it's a beta but it crashes so friggen much. Also all this absurd mumbo jumbo about needing two graphics cards to run the game is just silly, I'm using ONE and have it at max settings. I'm a little saddened at the fact that I went out and bought a brand new card only to realize my old one would have been fine.
