Eurogamer: A cluster of new Remedy job adverts has dropped interesting hints at what may be Alan Wake 2.
Four of the five positions mentioned an "AAA console project". And one specifically referenced Alan Wake.

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "In retrospect it’s not hard to see why some people were insistently raving about this game at the end of a year as star-packed as 2023, because even among that pack it stands out as, if perhaps not the best, then certainly the boldest. Its gameplay is what it is - sometimes great, sometimes a bit underwhelming compared to everything else - but its writing and atmosphere (and soundtrack) are simply exceptional, and it’s certainly a game that has to be experienced by any longtime fans of storytelling in games."
Coincidentally, I finished my play through and got the platinum trophy last night in Wake 2. Personally, I thought it was a fantastic game. Spooky at times, made me jump a bunch of times, intriguing story and such a weird but fun sense of humour. I loved it, among my favourite games I have played this year.
This is what I am playing on my PS5 right now. Great game but I still prefer RE series.

Just shy of two weeks after launching its 'bold gambit' to save the multiplayer shooter FBC: Firebreak, Remedy says the game is still underperforming, to the point that the studio has issued a "profit warning" for 2025 and says it's going to eat a big loss on the whole thing.
Well…it’s their own fault thinking something like this would even be appealing
Remedy are known for their single player games, why waste time on something like this? I’d rather the manpower went on the Max Payne remakes or Control 2.
The game is not bad, it's just that it doesn't feel rewarding, and the chaos artifacts in the game are annoying, there are ways to kill them, but it's often to hard to find, also the constant ramping up of the enemies numbers, when the objectives are being hamstrung by the chaos artifact with no way to kill them makes some runs plain out frustrating instead of challenging, not to mention the limited healing and ammunition stations...oh and who's idea was it to make my own ultimate dangerous to me? That should be the thing that saves you, not kill you lol.
Maybe me and my friends are playing it wrong.
I mean you try to milk the universe with a live service game no one wanted... that'll do it

All playable from October 7.
Cool, Alan Wake2 I still need to try out the first one. GOAT Simulator didn’t know they even made more after the first one, I’ll give it a go for a few minutes I guess. Not sure what Cocoon is, will have to look it up. Regardless they all will be added to my library.
Alan Wake 2 and Cocoon were on my list of games to play so this month is awesome for me.
Pretty good month. I never played a goat simulator game. I would try it if I didn’t always have a massive backlog of games I really want to play. Maybe someday.
Since Remedy mentioned AW2 would only take 18 months to develop, I wouldn't be surprised if this project is AW "Season 2"; furthermore, I wouldn't be surprised if they pack every game with a Halo 4 beat code (something to ponder).
Probably another first person shooter.
YES! YES! Finally, some shred of news. I've been waiting so long for more Alan Wake news, any kind, that even this is enough to make me rejoice.
Hopefully MS gives us a teaser at the VGAs or something.
@WhiteLightning: If AW was coming to PS3 you'd have seen advertisement for positions like we've seen other studios do, Bungie, for example with their new project.
Also, Remedy wasn't hurt by low Alan Wake sales, disappointed, but not hurt. If you do some research, you'll find out that MS gave them a nice pillow of cash to finish up the project. They weren't hurting for cash when all was said and done.
I think MS is going to give Alan Wake another go, they already said it fits their portfolio. The only other think I could see is iOS/PC ports of Alan Wake.
Does Microsoft own the Alan Wake ip?
Oh another article of 2+2=5
