Velocity Gamer writes: Dead Island is approaching 2 million in sales, for a new IP that's really good. Zombies are everywhere, and they are winning. Can zombies sell anything?

Following Left 4 Dead's undying legacy, the developer of the game shares that a new likewise project is in the works.
L4D had potential to be so much more. The issue was that the release of the second game just one year after the first added a decent amount of content which was much needed, then there was nothing except for a few small content updates spread far between.
This is one of the only games I can think of that benefits from a yearly release, or at least a yearly DLC so it doesn't split the player base.
The games just got too samey and lack content.. it's a shame they didn't keep up the pace, I know you can download new maps but it doesn't change the overall game or add new enemies etc.

NADA HOLDINGS and DRAGAMI GAMES have announced the launch of a new IP development project for LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW.
lol that's cool. I'm waiting for lollipop chainsaw remake to go on major sale before i try it again. I didn't get far in the original, not because i didn't like it tho. I bought shadows of the damned remake instead which is an awesome game and i recommend.

A new rating of Resident Evil 6 for Xbox has been spotted, which could suggest that it's getting a current gen port for Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
I loved Resident Evil 4 back in the day and enjoyed Resident Evil 5 even though I had to do co-op to beat the final boss. Shiva was just too dumb.
Resident Evil 6 on the other hand, was so bad that I stopped playing after an hour in the game. That was before I even played any high-quality single-player games outside of Mass Effect, Portal, and Skyrim. I can't imagine playing RE6 now.
Chances are their next remake will be 5.
I just don't get why it's already on the platforms via BC unless it's a remake which would piss everyone off as fans are hoping for either the original game or code veronica to get the remake treatment
They don't neccessarily sell instantly, but they do grab in a whole lot of attention. As a zombie lover any zombie game that looks half decent, I look into it and then see if it's worth my money. There's just something about zombies and killing them which is incredibly fun and satisfying for reasons unknown.
I think some people do buy games as soon as they hear zombies, but I also thing many people look at the game at hand first. As a zombie lover, we have high standards but a lot of people easily overlook a game purely for the zombies.
In short, Zombie games generate a whole load of attention no matter what game it is, we simply love zombie games. Zombies can pretty much sell anything, like the article says, just got to hope zombies don't get attatched to bad games too much.
Too many zombies? Never. We are used to endless waves of zombies.
I like zombies. It's a situation that's appealing to people. I think a lot of people would like to see how they would fair in that situation.
zombies cant sell anything, they are brain dead.
I think its not really the zombie aspect that sells, but the Co-Op survival modes they bring with it.
