Now that there is a HD version for consoles and Vita, it will really overshadow the 3DS version.

After 2 years of Portable Metal Gears i'm ready for a Revisit on the Console, I played Peace Walker last summer, and Portable Ops this Summer, I loved them Both, Peace Walker more so, I just wish i could 'TRANSFAAAAR' my Peace Walker data to the 360 ... sigh....

The HD collection was pretty much the nail that made sure I did not buy a 3DS in the near future. Also, I will end up probably getting the HD Collection for both PS3 and PSVita.

I will get the 3DS one day but at a much later date now.

Also the vita has a second analog stick so that should be great for camera control. Also the beautiful 5 inch OLED will be much better for those types of games.

all this HD rubbish the 3ds has a better ppi than Vita ie it could look sharper if they use the same poly count ect which is more than possible considering revelations ect look HD/3D its all a load of rubbish the 3ds can get the HD collection aswell as it has the best ppi over 360/ps3/vita what a joke.

what people forget is that 3ds version gets MGS4 controls and better textures and higher poly counts ect the Hd collection is the same old controls but in HD plus the Vita isnt HD end of if Vita is HD so is 3DS as the PPI is higher on 3DS this is a FACT no matter what people say FACTS are FACTS.

I've said this from the day that HD Collection was announced. Whats the point in the 3DS version of 3 when you can get MGS2, MGS3, MGS Peace Walker and the original Metal Gears in HD for either your PS3, Xbox 360, or the better designed handheld, PS Vita...all of which will have better visuals and dual analog support.

It just makes the 3DS version pointless and redundant in my opinion which is why I cancelled my pre-order for the 3DS version and will pick up HD Collection on Vita. I'm in no rush though as I have MGS2, and MGS3 still in mint condition for my PS2, as well as a copy of Peace Walker that I got signed by Kojima himself when he came to London last year for the games launch.

I wonder who will buy this. Because I'm pretty sure most 3DS owners own a PS3 or Xbox, or may even be getting Vita. But we'll see.

i'll get the Snake Eater 3D, but only because I missed it on the PS2 cause I was busy with Kingdom Hearts, Prince of Persia, Beyond Good and Evil, DMC 3 and other games.

It’d be nice to see a HD collection, but knowing Konami they’ll somehow mess that up.

I have the Metal Gear Solid HD collection from a few years ago and I still have the PlayStation 2 versions of mgs2/3. Wish Konami would get their act together they have so many great ips that are just wasting away .

The HD Collection on 360/PS3 was the best version of those games. And the best way to play them at the minute seems to be on PC emulators.

Knowing Konami they will probably release Metal Gear in some form of an anniversary collection pack like they did with Contra and Castlevania. Konami gave the middle finger to their die hard fans who have followed them from beginning to end. Konami turned their back on the gaming community I honestly don't care about Konami anymore I have my Konami games I like and I will stick with the older titles. Too bad Konami just doesn't sell off their gaming division to someone who will utilize that division. And Konami can stick their head back in the sand and focus on Pachinko machines.

Luckily I have the physical cartridge of the MGs collection for Vita. MG3 is so good portable.

A rerelease or a remake on the way , these are most logical reasons at this time.

Remasters are probably coming.

I already own both the Xbox 360 and PS Vita versions, so I'm good.

Im glad I have the excellent Legacy Collection on PS3.

Those are live and well in Japan filled to the brim with microtransactions.

Konami has intentionally murdered several of their biggest franchises. Silent Hill, Castelvania, and now MGS. I don’t think they really care about making big hits anymore.

It still amazes me how MGS4, the last great MGS games (MGSVs open world and lack of plot outside of tapes did nothing for me) is still locked on PS3 outside of streaming via now. Konami are sitting on a goldmine. I wish Sony could somehow acquire the rights
