This seems to be one of the most wanted features of Call of Duty fans. The ability to create a map and upload it so that others can play it too. We all love playing online but the maps start to get old after a few hundred times. So, instead of having to wait for new maps packs to be offered, how about a map creator?

Starting today, Game Pass Ultimate drops from $29.99 to $22.99 a month. PC Game Pass will also drop from $16.49 to $13.99 a month. Prices may vary by region.
Beginning this year, future Call of Duty titles won’t join Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch. New Call of Duty games will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the following holiday season (about a year later), while existing Call of Duty titles already in the library will continue to be available.
In my region, it’s still more expensive than it was before the last price hike, but it’s a far more viable price point.
Losing Call of Duty from the service, honestly, has zero effect on me, and given they chose to make it so, it’s probably not the big seller they originally thought. Overall, it’s really good news, but I still think they have work to do on the tier structure, having Premium and PC at the same price point with different features feels odd.
Yep take COD out. Them waiting a year is interesting but it make sense. They don't want certain ppl waiting 4 to 6 months they want fomo and maximum sales. Wait a year while the new one releases.
Ok so far so good.

A new Call of Duty game that isn't Modern Warfare 4 may be coming, and the surprise re-emergence of Warzone Mobile could be crucial to it.

Microsoft reportedly lost over $300 million in Xbox and PC sales by putting Call of Duty on Game Pass, raising concerns over the subscription model’s long-term impact.
There are some reports that in March 2023, Microsoft told a court, "Game Pass prices will not increase as a result of the [Microsoft-Activision] Merger."
If true, massive hypocrite .
If this is true, this might be a case of taking a big risk gone wrong.
Is that why they always say revenue and not profit??
My question is, even though they lost 300 million in sales, were they able to offset it.
We might never know.
I’ve been saying for years, you just can’t trust MS period.
1 simple rule, don’t trust MS, act accordingly.
Good, I had hoped Microsoft would be better for Activision and Blizzard than Kotick running the show but that would be expecting Microsoft to be competent at managing studios.
Nice idea but like you said people will say Activision will not want to loose money and this is true.A map editor is counter productive if you are releasing DLC maps. Far Cry 2 had an excellent map editor but a map pack was never released because the community make them now. The only way Activision can get round this is then to release other type of DLC like weapons and skins but I am not sure if this would be a profitable. Map editors (in this sense) are going the way of the dodo because it hinders profits.
There was map editors right up until Modern Warfare 1, they let you build maps from scratch using the models and textures within the game or ones you made yourself.
You essentially just outlined the basic functions of a map editor and called it your idea, put a little bit more thought into it next time :) don't just flesh out "I want a map editor" with useless fluff.
I "think" fans would like this option more than waiting on maps to come out every few months. At least this would keep things fresh.
i would love this option and make it so when im done i can upload it to a test area if i pass i can sell it lets see 3 maps a week easy to do $5 each map set sell to millions of idiots yep sounds like early retirement ok activision im ready.
The only way to see a map editor for CoD released would be to monetize it. Activision killed the mod tools to make more money, They will reinstate it only if they make money off of it.
One solution would be to release for free the tools, and allow people to test custom maps locally. If one wants to rent a custom map enabled server, it would cost 50% more than a regular server. That would be 45 bucks instead of 30 for a 32 players server.
This would allow Activision to pump as many DLC they feel like, and players would be able to enjoy custom maps as well. Said players (some of them) will participate in server renting costs.
Guaranteed financial return is the sine qua non condition for Activision to ever consider mod tools again. Play Share Create is not their motto.
