Activision puts 500 developers to work across seven studios to ensure Call of Duty remains the biggest brand around. But challenger EA DICE, with Battlefield 3, doesn't. Nor does general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson believe he has to in order to compete at the very highest level.

EA is laying off an unknown number of individuals from across its Battlefield teams, including workers at Criterion, Dice, Ripple Effect, and Motive Studios, IGN understands.
When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!
cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

DICE is quickly banning cheaters in the Battlefield 6 beta, with a developer confirming that they are aware of the hacks.
They need to add an option for crossplay with other console players only. Otherwise I’ll definitely deactivating crossplay altogether. These cheaters on PC are already ruining this game and it’s still a few months from general release.
Developers should find a way that if they detect your cheating in a game, have it so none of your shots register against other players, you can't kill anyone. Bascially, you would be useless in that game LOL.

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign
Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.
This crap again?
Well they sure do prove it.
With one game (BF3) they surpassed about 5 COD games that came out this generation. The last one being MW3 because you don't need to play it in order to see what it already is.
Anyone see that multiplayer gameplay footage? Had huge maps with tanks, vehicles, these lil army robot things, dog fights, all at the same while fighting.
It reminded me of Warkhawk...and that's a good thing.
I guess you only need 500+ devs if you plan to release a game every year.
Damn, that's crazy. 500+ people across 7 dev studios and the game still looks like MW1 looked like. I see why people like the game, its easy to jump in at any time, easy to master, and there are MILLIONS of people who play it, so finding a game is never hard.
However with that said BF3 just looks so much better to me, as I enjoyed BFBC2 so much more then any CoD
