Is Minecraft’s Adventure Update Worth Your Time?

Minecraft Adventure update has really brought the game together. It feels more substantial now; the world itself seems more like a world and less like a box of sand.

It was always a creativity tool over an adventure/exploration/survival type game and now it’s truly both, having embraced both kinds of gameplay. Now there actually is a choice between ‘creativity’ and ‘survival’ modes

What if I have never played mine craft, should I update? Or should I play then update?
Too many options!

Oh Lord. YOU DON'T HAVE CHOICE GW4K!

When you buy Minecraft (which I would hope you'll have the sense to do) you'll start from the LATEST update. Minecraft Beta 1.8, which is the Adventure Update, which OP is talking about.

One of these days I'm just gonna have to bite the bullet and jump on the Minecraft bandwagon. It really does seem to awesome to miss out on.

I like it mainly because it's an excuse to start a new server. The bigger biomes definitely make the scope feel wider.

I think it brings enough new stuff to the table to make it worth the play time.

I hope come final release, all updates going forward will quit obsolescing previous worlds. It's starting to get annoying to have to ditch everything I've done whenever a new update comes.

It's still in beta and I'm happy to deal with it for the time being. But once it's out of beta, that shit has got to end.

I used to buy cheap games thinking I’d play them later, but I always ended up returning to my favorites. Now I skip the deals unless I know I’ll play the game soon.

This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Can’t really expect a 8 year old Roblox kid to go buy resident evil 9 lol

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.
