The changes made by Ninja Theory and Capcom are devolution in its' purest form. Would you play a Call Of Duty that was reduced to 30 fps, lied to you about it's content, had unwelcomed character designs, and had it's creators insulting fans of the previous titles?

Change for the sake of change is simply not a good idea. Changes for the better are what are needed, and this is simply not that. When Capcom rebooted Megaman with the Megaman X series, that was change for the better. Castlevania IV was a remake of the original, that game was better. Deus Ex: Human Revolution is essentially a franchise reboot (they call it a prequel, but it's VERY loosely tied to the original), and it's great.

It's not about resistance to change. It's about someone changing a title in the wrong ways for the wrong reasons. More to that, it's from a publisher that has fallen from grace this generation in a big way, pairing up with a developer that has proven themselves to be incapable of resolving technical issues with their games.

If they would have announced a proper sequel people would be like trying to justify it as milking of the franchise.They do something different and people cant stop hating it.I for one am going to see how it turns out.The press seems to have a pretty positive experience with this game.I think it might be a refreshing experience.

The difference between Metal Gear Solid and this game is that isn't just a switch in protagonists because if that was the case then Devil May Cry 4 would have been dead on arrival. The game was great, not better than previous ones but still a Devil May Cry game because the original formula wasn't broken.

Metal Gear Solid 2 may have had Raiden but still played like Metal Gear Solid, meaning everything hardware-wise and story wise was intact.

Even Metal Gear Solid 4 revamped the whole thing from the ground up but it was only for the better. Snake's design changed but you could still see that it's Snake not somebody different altogether.

Crap loook aside , the game simply doesnt looks goo to many if ot most DMC fans .

It's not a revolution , nor an evolution , it's a devolution into a slow paced dissapointing thing that we've already played before , and got nothing to do with dmc . That is all .

But please keep pretending people are and were always just mad at how crappy new dante look and somehow twist it to fit an unfitting mGS2 comparison

I truly understand what you are saying about giving the game a chance, its just that Capcom have been doing some terrible things as of late which not only angers me as a gamer but on an integrity level as well.

Capcom really is throwing mud in longtime fans' eyes and if Ninja Theory did just remain humble by assuring fans like for an example.

They may have to read tons of letter and e-mails regarding what gamers want to see in the title but if they followed through I would have supported their actions and purchased title regardless of score.

It is just ridiculous to claim the game needs it . NT was doing their thing already wich suits other people's fancy . What's the point on taking a unique variant on the genre , and then killing it with another , making it all the same ? So what's the point of it replacing the old style dmc ?

FPS at least do it , because the new strong strain is selling like hotcake ... NT's fancy storytelling hack slasher dont even sell , even according to themselves
