Make sure you have thousands of dollars available as there is a new graphics card released every month.

dangert125276d ago

Thats silly they don't expect you to by a new one everymonth thats like saying theres a new smartphone out every month lol

narutogameking5276d ago

If you want to have the best out there you'll have to upgrade multiple times a year. This costs thousands of dollars.

I can buy a console and have it last me 6+ years until I need to upgrade.

dangert125276d ago

but a console will not have the best out there nor will your rig if you don't keep upgrading but if you get the best possible at the time like the ps3/xbox had when they came out then it will be able to run games for quiet a while without an upgrade i can imagine

You should really stop exaggerating for the purpose of making it look like you have an actual point.

New GPU series come out every 6-8 months now. And only every second series is usually worth upgrading to, because the one after is usually just a refresh of the same chip design that's been optimized a bit. And sometimes the series after that is still a refresh also and then finally a new architecture that's worth upgrading too.

their hasn't been a new graphics card released in over 3 months when Nvidia released their GTX560 and AMD released their HD6790

If you knew what you were talking about you would realize they release the cards at different price point intervals.

They release:

1. Entry Level
2. Mid range
3. Enthusiast Level
4. HTPC Level
5. God Almighty Level
6. then refreshes and specialty cards

sometimes not in this exact order but last Gen was pretty much in this order. So I'm an Enthusiast level gamer so why would i need to buy a new card every month. I bought 2 cards day 1 and I don't need to buy any more until DX12 comes out and that's ONLY if i want DX12 features.

So your statement is completely FALSE and only verifies that you know NOTHING about PC Gaming!!

But at least now you know............
