holy crap that was epic. no doubt the story's going to be amazing but still iffy on the speed/smoothness of the swordplay, I like the finishers he does though.

His hairstyle changed from Antoniades to Bieber. Whatta joy!

I couldn't watch it either, but here are some videos. It looks like it's coming along well, I think they slowed the combat down to make it more accessible for everyone, which is understandable for getting a bigger audience, but I think they did too much because now it's far from the high speed game it was. I hope they make it to 60 fps, it just doesn't feel right for a hack and slash not to be 60fps during combat.

It still needs more time, so hopefully it comes out later in 2012. One thing I think Ninja Theory got down was environment. This world they created fits DMC better than any game developed by Capcom. It's dark, twisted, and chaotic and that's the kind of place I expect to find Dante not in a Cathedral the size of a mountain, or at some run down pizza shop. The environment in this reboot is very contemporary for the franchise. The new look of Dante didn't bother me at all, and with his new - new haircut most of the complaints should be gone, because he looks like a young Dante. Gameplay seems to be 50% Dante, 50% Nero which is ok I guess since it's technically Dante's first outing (100% Dante next time please). Sotry is the only thing missing, and Ninja Theory are probably the best storytellers in the hack and slash genre, so I'm not really worried about that. I'm hoping for the best for this game like all people who consider themselves DMC fans should.

Capcom says it wants Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney to be 'core IPs' like Monster Hunter

Sorry if you were expecting Bionic Commando.

Actions speak louder than words. Show me a new Mega Man game that isn't a collection of games I played yesteryear. If they can churn out some kind of RE game every other year they can make a new Mega Man entry. It's not like it's known for its deep stories.

I can see DMC, but the others just weren't built for that without some major adjustments on how they're played.

If they make the right choices and right kinds of games, the Mega-Man IP could potentially be made into an animated film or streaming series like the success of Mario and Sonic. Surely that thought may have crossed their minds? Or am I being silly? I mean there is a lot more water to go under the bridge for them to even start considering that. But I used to be a big mega-man fan back in the day. I'd love to see it happen.

It’s being done on purpose just to destroy inafune . It’s some pride stuff on the inside .

blacktiger168d ago

all talk and if they launch it will cost $200

shinXseijuro168d ago

Just like the guys said . I’ll believe it when I see it . Even the shareholders are asking questions regarding Megaman . I don’t want to sound ludacris but I have a strong conviction that the heads at Capcom are purposely holding the Megaman IP down because of their grudge and spite towards inafune on some deeper Japanese honour code stuff . It’s deeper than we think . You can tell something isn’t right .

Well i hope DMC is being worked on. Either a remake of 1 or 6 will do.

And bring back Megaman X. Either regular, command mission or make it a Metroidvania since silksong is so popular.
