Good trailer. DMC4 let me down; hopefully this doesn't D:

Seeing this trailer...ninja theory is using the same engine as Heavenly Sword and Enslaved. Those are good games in there own right but this is NOT A TRUE DMC. I don't like it

Capcom is a mess. You're hearing that they are returning to there roots with RE6 and in about 4 years from now we'll be hearing they returning to there roots with DMC.

BTW where is Onimusha?

i wouldn't mind it so much if the character wasn't named Dante.

at the 0:28 - 0:30 mark, you have to admit that the buildings coming up like that is pretty damned cool.
I still don't (and never will) like the new look for Dante.
unfortunately, that in many ways will impact my decision for buying the game.

I am, however, cautiously optimistic for the game. I had tons of fun with Heavenly Sword and applaud the single minded single player story driven elements of Enslaved, so I am looking forward to this one.

The only good thing I can say about this is. Dante is less stoned and has more meat than before, when it was first announced.

I hope this flops so it can get a proper reboot or sequel and return to 60 fps.

I don't trust Ninja Theory. Combat wise Enslaved and Heavenly sword wasn't that great, very repetitive.

My impressions on the trailer. The world looks good overall, not what I'm used to seeing from DMC, since we're in a castle 90% of the time, but it's good. Combat seems slow. I think some of you who have played the previous DMCs, especially the last two will understand what I'm talking about.

I really really hate it when the trailer goes slow motion half way through what appears to be a combo. It makes it seem as if there is nothing that will follow up afterwards, like the combo's are 4/5 hits combos like Enslaved and are just trying to cover it up by switching to another scene. There is also a lack of variety when it comes to the weapon moves. Like they used the same 3/5 Sword slash like continuously in the trailer. It seems like combat will be very based around switching weapons whenever the situation seems appropriate.

Enslaved style platforming with more mechanics, jumping around, grappling and etc. not really what I'm used to from DMC. Angel/Devil trigger slows down time and there is a charge shot. I don't know, it doesn't seem to have the stylish touch you get from previous DMC. It seems really forced and slow. Overall it looks fine for an action adventure game, although again, I really would prefer they start releasing gameplay videos to get a better look at the overall game movement and not trailers.

Is it me but look at 1:19, Dante face look's like Chris Redfield / Ryu. But the gameplay...meh, this is not DMC -_-

gamdplay looks average. new Dante still sucks.unreal engine and 30 fps..., Ninja Theory....FU. I wont ever accept junkie uncool Dante.

Hate me if you want, but I like it. Actually, this looks pretty smooth.

Huge DMC fan here.

DMC - Amazing.
DMC 2 - Lacked in story, but major gameplay improvements over the first. Not sure why people dislike it so much.
DMC 3 - Best action game of all time.
DMC4 - Not bad, but backtracking got very boring and the story fell apart.

I love Ninja Theory, so I'm glad to see them handle this. I don't care that they changed his look so much. I'd prefer to get more FREAKING STORY FROM THE SERIES I KNOW AND LOVE, but hey. What do I know? I'm just a consumer. -_-

My question to Capcom is this:

Do you WANT my $65 or would you rather go bankrupt in a few years?

The game looks fun.

His face looks a bit more like Dante although the gameplay is still not there, it needs a bit more for it to be smooth, arggh. Im still surprised to see how far NT has come with this game, it started out really bad, but in my opinion, I feel it is looking much better than I expected, still doesnt seem to have that true DMC feeling to it. I still hate the fact it runs at 30fps.

I don't want to sound horrible, but I truly hope this game flops. Not because I want NT to have to close their doors or anything. But maybe if this game flops, it will be enough to make Capcom realize that they don't need to keep fucking around with things to make fans happy. Fans just want a true DMC5, the 'old' Dante, and more exploration of already-existing characters (LIKE VERGIL FFS!!!)
