
More details about this year’s most anticipated iOS/Android title, Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, have been revealed.
A series of concept art images (see below) show that developer Gameloft is taking its next instalment in the highly smartphone and tablet FPS series rather seriously. Furthermore, Gameloft UK Digital Marketing Manager even managed to hold an interview with Fallen Nation’s producer, unveiling some new details on the game in the process. Interestly, Rowley claims the game’s visuals will compete with those offered by the RAGE and Unreal engines.
Given how awesome the launch trailer for the game looked a few weeks back, we’re inclined to agree. No launch date has been announced but expect to see Fallen Nation hit the Apple App Store this year (and a similar release period for Android).

The 3-D shooter has been one of the less-represented genres in mobile gaming thus far, due to their technical demands and the challenge of adapting their gameplay to touchscreen controls. Luckily, however, that is starting to change, and the past few years have seen a slew of third-person and first-person shooters for Android devices. As we enter 2013, here are some of the more successful forays into the genre thus far.

Wonder why it's just the Xperia play and not all PS Suit devices. Surely Sony would want to push PS suite sales more as this would mean more profit than just the sales of one particular hardware device.
