Honestly, nobody SHOULD care about Mario anymore. It's an old storyline and an old fighting system. With that bit of LAG on the wii-mote...there's really nothing INNOVATIVE about it.

Im not a mario fan anymore...but the recycling of characters blah blah blah. Miyamoto isnt the only one doin it. Hideo Kojima,God help the guy think of more orignal plots. Im a huge mgs fan, but at times i wonder,shouldnt sum1 sue kojima for some form of plagerism. I mean,mgs 2, the whole pliskin, snake,escape from L.A thing was dumb. And mgs1 was hugly original with things like cigerettes to see beams,but,well,u gt my drift. So,if Hideo can and gt praise,why cnt Mr miyamoto?

although he is getting old still brings an enjoyable experience and the most freedom fun in a game so i do care if i wanna relax.

Mario will always pick up that fan base from kids to adults. I kinda wish Zelda was on the ps3 and mario so i could actually not buy nintendo Systems....

its the same thing over with execpt now he is in a bee suit or next time a bear suit. Lame.

Or a plumber suit.. that would be cool... and exactly in line with the other innovations in the game ;)

I guess we'll see next month or whenever the sales figures for the game start solidifying. And to those who complain about how Mario is the same thing over and over, but enjoy God of War 2 and Heavenly sword, or Halo 3/COD 4/FPS the umpteenth/etc., all I can do is laugh at the hypocrisy. Some day, perhaps people will stop being so self-righteous and arrogant, and realize that everyone of us will continue to play good and worthy rehashes of our favorite types of games.

Please. Get over yourself, and quit making yourself look stupid with your short-sightedness and arrogance. Whatever games you like, it is more likely than not that Mario of the past had some manner of influence on them. Whatever games you will like in the future, the same will likely be said. If it weren't for Mario 64, gaming wouldn't be as far along as it now is. Deny that.

I bet theres more grandparents out there that knw who Mario is ,than Master Chief,and,its christmas,who buys gifts for themselves? If the +10 milion install base havnt already thrown their wiis out or forgot they had one,they will pick it up. Its not like they have uncharted or mass effect to choose from. But.. I wouldnt expect any galaxy shortages or riots over it either

People forget what games are supposed to be about, there are definately too many FPS these days where it is the same thing over and over. If it werent for that frikin plumber there would be no FPS. Personally i am seriously burnt out on those games, even the online is so repetetive. A game like Assasins Creed on the other hand to me is something a little different and i think Mario Galaxy is definately somewhat groundbreaking. Its more than just another platformer, its worthy of being another classic. We need more creative ideas in games, so we can stop seeing the same BS over and over. Why doesnt someone make a kick @ss 3d person Road Warrior game already, span it between all 3 movies. What happened to Escape from NY game they were working on. Weird sh@t, keep makin the same sh@t instead. What a waste, man.
